Hansel is a coon mix, 8 months old, neutered, vetted, dog friendly, people friendly, doesn't seem to mind cats. He is working on leash training, does ok in a crate, very sweet but hyper, finished his heartworm treatment but will need to be rechecked in a few months. He and his sister were found abandoned, she has since been adopted. If you would like to meet this handsome fellow please reach out and we will schedule a meet and greet! Meet Spruce! This handsome hound is ready to find a forever family. Spruce is a beautiful black and tan coonhound mix with an estimated birthday of 02/01/2024, weighing in around 50lbs. Spruce came to us like many other dogs, as a scared stray brought in by Animal Control who was never claimed by an owner. Although Spruce was pretty scared when he met us, he came around incredibly quickly and has transformed into a social butterfly. Spruce is a big, bubbly, silly boy who is ready to play all day long. Spruce loves the company of other dogs, and would be thrilled to have a new furry brother or sister in his home. Of course, if you already have any in the home, we require a meet and greet. Knuckles is a two-year-old male Coonhound and he's full of energy. He's a tall guy but only weighs 53 pounds. Time to get him fattened up a little. He was found in the Hickory Corner area and brought to the shelter by Animal Control. He's got the traditional Coonhound tri-color coat and is fully up to date on his shots.

Meet Sylvia! This gorgeous girly is looking for a place of her own. Sylvia is a black and tan hound mix with an estimated birthday of 04/30/2024, weighing in around 40lbs. Sylvia came to us like many others as a stray through Animal Control, who was never claimed by an owner. Although sad to think about, Sylvia took it in stride and made herself at home right away. Sylvia has been a social butterfly since the moment she came through the door, and has never met a stranger. Sylvie is playful and silly, and loves nothing more than to spend her time running around and playing with her many friends here at the shelter. Sylvia does wonderfully with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, but of course we require a meet and greet if you already have any in the home. This adorable young pup is made of smiles and kisses, she knows nothing but loving and being sweet. Kiki sports a signature tri-colored coat and floppy ears that her mix is known for, and when she really warms up she'll use her voice too. Kiki tends to be a people-pleaser, she loves to make her friends happy, and is so good at putting a smile on your face! Kiki is incredibly easy to get along with, she does great with other dogs, cats, children, and anyone and everyone in between! Of course, if you already have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is required. Kiki loves a good treat, but her favorite thing is a toy that squeaks! Hi Friends, I love everyone I meet & I make friends with people everywhere I go! I was found as a stray on a very busy street where I was seen narrowly escaping many scary, honking cars – I was starving and covered in ticks, & I walked right up to my foster mom with pleading eyes to ask for her help. Since then, I’ve made a full recovery. I’ve become best friends with everyone at my vet’s office & I am healthy, happy, and have been spayed & chipped. I’ve learned that I love soft blankets & plush toys, & my favorite thing in the world is a belly rub. I’ve had a couple of lessons with a trainer on how to “sit” and “stay,” & I am learning! My trainer says that I am very adoptable & trainable, & will make someone a wonderful pet. My DNA test says I am mostly a Coonhound mix, with 25% Siberian Husky. I am 1.5 years old & 57 pounds. I so wish to be adopted by a loving parent who will have me live inside their home like family, & take me out for long walks & exercise! Much love, :) Pepper
