Story
Meet Cruz, this lanky hound pup is searching for his forever family! At just 14 weeks old, he's already catching on to potty training and learning his manners. While he's still a puppy, Cruz has a more laid-back, lower-energy vibe. His favorite thing in the world is being close to the people he thrives on human affection! Cruz enjoys playing with other dogs and is totally fine with cats, making him a great addition to any home. He's good with kids and despite his size, he's gentle and sweet. And like most hounds, Cruz is a true "talker," so his forever family should be ready for some entertaining conversations! If you're looking for a loving, affectionate pup to join your family, Cruz just might be the perfect match!

Story
Demetrius is a sweet and loving 2-year-old Coonhound mix who currently weighs around 60 pounds. He is fully vetted and ready to find his forever home! He was found as a stray before landing in the comforting arms of the Greater Charlotte SPCA. He's friendly as can be and seeks out attention. He's fully crate trained and house training.  Demetrius is easy going. He likes puzzle toys and independent play along with cuddles on the sofa. He loves to go for long leash walks and is an excellent hiking or jogging companion, too. He enjoys meeting new people and leans on anyone who is willing to spend time with him. He's cute and his forehead wrinkles are the best. Demetrius has done well with other dogs at doggie daycare and in his foster home, but would rather play with dogs his size or bigger and no cats for this handsome one!!  If you are interested in adopting Demetrius  please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.*** December 17, 2024, 9:12 am

Knoxie – A Bluetick Hound Beauty Looking for Her Forever Home   Meet Knoxie, a stunning 3-year-old, 60-pound purebred Bluetick Hound with a personality as vibrant as her beautiful black-and-blue glossy coat. This special girl came from a loving home but found herself in need of a new beginning after her family’s divorce. Now thriving in a caring foster home, Knoxie is ready to find her forever family.   About Critter Cavalry Rescue   Critter Cavalry Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Middle Tennessee. Our mission is to save at-risk Tennessee animals and connect them with loving families. While we adopt locally, we also transport animals to the Northeast states weekly, offering more opportunities for our rescues to find their perfect homes. Information about our drop-off times, adoption fees, and the adoption process can be found on our website at crittercavalry.com.   Knoxie’s Perfect Match   Knoxie is a family dog through and through. While her breed is known for exceptional hunting abilities, Knoxie prefers the warmth and comfort of home life, curled up by the fireplace with her loved ones. Her friendly demeanor and sweet, deep “bawl” are endearing without being overwhelming.   Why You'll Love Knoxie   Raised in a loving environment, Knoxie is well-socialized and enjoys the company of people and other dogs. She’s athletic and a joy to watch as she runs and plays in the yard. Independent yet affectionate, she has shown none of the stubborn tendencies often associated with her breed. Healthy and ready for her next adventure! Knoxie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and in excellent health.   Where Is Knoxie?   Knoxie is currently being fostered in Tennessee, but transportation northward can be arranged as part of our regular rescue efforts.   Interested in Adopting Knoxie?   This sweet girl is looking for a forever home where she can thrive as a cherished family member. If you’d like to learn more about Knoxie or start the adoption process, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   Knoxie is a truly special hound who will bring love, loyalty, and joy to her future family.
