Though he's more subdued than most hounds, don't be mistaken-he's still got that classic hound bark!Pluto was a stray, so his history is a bit of a mystery. However, we do know that he's a spirited fellow with a strong sense of adventure. As a hound, Pluto has a natural tendency to roam, so his ideal home will need a securely fenced yard and a family ready to invest time in recall training. His strong build also means he can pull a bit on the leash during walks, but that's just his excitement to explore all the wonderful scents out there!This charming boy isn't too fond of being alone and may experience some separation anxiety. Meet Todd:Todd came to us from Dog Control where he was was brought in as a stray. Since no owner was found nor came forth, he is now with the BC SPCA Kelowna looking for a new home to keep him safe and loved. We know nothing of his background but are happy to share what we have learned since his arrival. He is somewhat timid and scared at first meeting, but we found out first hand that once he knows you and trusts you, he is a cuddle-bug. He loves people and the attention showered upon him. Todd is quickly learning his new name. That soulful look makes your heart melt and you just know how much love and loyalty this young canine can provide his new family. A home with 'hound' experience would be preferred.If you believe this sweet, young canine is the furever family friend, please complete an online Dog Pre-Adoption Questionnaire at:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/We will be giving preference to local applicants as he has to go back and forth to local vet appointments which would be the responsibility of the foster.The Centre is open Tuesday - Saturday Noon to 4 pm (except for Stat Holidays) Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 21.1 Age: 1yrs 0mths 1wks
