Story
Lil' Man is 9 months old and is a Collie mix weighing 30 pounds. He came to the shelter with his sister after living in a car with his owner. Lil' Man is such a happy, sweet boy! He's excited for any toy you give him and loves to play with his person. Knows commands sit and paw. Can be shy with strangers at first. Treat selective. Suspected separation anxiety. Pulls on a leash, harness recommended. High energy. Eager to please, listens well to commands. Jumps. Needs training, lots of puppy energy. Housebreaking, may need a refresher. Plays rough with other dogs. His adoption fee is $250, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Story
Available 3 Years 74 lbs https://www.collierescue.org/DogDetails.aspx?id=2024-045 Fostered in SE Michigan Fenced yard required Hi, it’s me Pauly! I told my foster mom that I wanted to talk to you myself. It’s MY forever home that we’re talking about! The best way to describe me is a sweet cuddle bug who also has a lot of energy. Everyone who meets me comments on how beautiful I am. They’re not wrong! Like most Collies, I like being near my people and receiving affection. Right now, I live with my foster Golden brother, and I adore him. We like to wrestle and chase each other in the backyard. I also like to play fetch, chew bones, and have my belly rubbed. Chasing cats is fun too, so I probably shouldn’t live with one. Like any self-respecting Collie, I will bark at passerby if I can see them outside. Meeting new people and dogs is so exciting. I am really a friendly guy. However, I do pull and bark on leash when I see other dogs. My forever family will need to continue to work on this with me. I would love to have another playmate and confident dog in my forever home. Because I am so fast and prey driven, I need a fenced back yard. Agility could be in my future one day. A quiet household where my family is home a lot of the time would suit me best. My foster mom says that I need experienced dog owners. I know several commands, am very smart and food motivated. I need someone who is gentle and patient with me as I gain confidence. If you could be my forever home, please fill out an application. https://www.collierescue.org/DogDetails.aspx?id=2024-045
