PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED Here is what Griff wants you to know about him before you take him home: “Well well, well....just look at me!!! I am incredibly good looking, wouldn't you agree? At just 5 years old, I am ready for a lifelong relationship. And I tell you what, you could not ask for a better-behaved Smoothie, as we are called, than me!! I am immaculate in my housekeeping. I will gladly go into a crate, but I would be more than happy just to sit by your side and adore you!! And walks??? Oh, you know it!! I would love just to show you off around the neighborhood! I'm a gentleman through and through. I am a little vocal when I see other dogs, but I am just saying," Look at me!! Am I not gorgeous?" I like little people, but not too little! I get rambunctious and might knock the littlest ones over! Trust me, I need a fence. Only because small creatures excite me too much and I just may chase them! So, no felines or small doggos please. I am ready to be your forever boy!! Call and meet me today!! “ Love, Griff If Griff strikes your fancy and you are ready to help him continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED! As much as we love to talk about Collies in our care, who better than to describe themselves than Barry himself! Here is what he would like to tell you: “I am all that! Don’t be mistaken by my good looks. I am young rebel!! At just 9 monhts, I’m full of it. I do prefer the male gender as my guardian, but I could probably fall in love with a lady as well. Like most teenagers, I need some reining in. I am working real hard on commands and like my lessons. I am learning what it means to be a good house dog and they say I am a quick study but I will also need a firm hand. I am also looking for someone that challenges my intellect..I am a Collie after all and super smart! Once I learn something, I really learn it. If you’re ready to have me in your life, and you’re willing to put in a little extra time with me, I am going to be the most spectacular Collie that ever walked the earth! I’m already so very handsome, all you need to do is groom my mind a little bit. PHYSICAL FENCE PREFERRED FOR DAHLIA’S SAFETY Dahlia has been working very hard with her incredible Foster Mama to learn about gentle touch and direction. Her progress has been nothing short of amazing. In her own words, here is what her Foster Mama has to say about sweet Dahla: “Dahlia is one special girl despite her disabilities. She is a very sweet and loving dog to all humans she meets. She is very smart also, it’s just amazing to watch her learn her way about the house and yard once she has memory of the paths to take.Dahlia has a clear voice to let you know when she needs to go outside to potty. She will also let you the smell of food she wants to share and if she feels alone and lost in her dark world she will bark to say,HEY,WHERE ARE MY HUMANS FURRY PALS? She loves to play with her fur pals here, so a playful pup full of energy would really be great for her. Dahlia loves her stuffed toys and chew toys just like any other dog and those cuddles on the sofa. She rests best knowing that her human and furry friends are near. Whether you are experienced or not with a special needs dog, Dahlia is well worth considering for a great companion.” Dahlia is being fostered in North Alabama If you have room in your heart to take Dahlia into your home to give her a chance at the life she deserves please fill out our adoption application today! Story
PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED Hi!! I have the perfect name to match my silky black coat. It wasn’t always this way though. My brothers and I spent most of our first year in a not so nice place. I never learned how to be a Collie. My foster pawrents are taking great care of me with good food which is not only super yummy but making my coat nice and shiny! They try hard to show me that new things can be fun and even thinks I am just a goofy boy. They have shown me something called affection, and boy, do I really like it!! So much so, that I will ask for a good ear scratch!! Or two or three!!! I am tall and I am pretty quiet. My favorite thing to do is play with my foster siblings, and cats are okay too. Toys and chew bones were unknown to me before I came here, but now I think they are just swell!! I’ve learned to catch and I’m starting to learn to fetch. I still like to go in my crate, it’s my den and safe spot but I get to keep the door open so I can come and go. I know how to ask to go outside and potty, but sometimes it takes me a while. I get scared of a lot of noises, but I am getting better each day. I’m walking on a leash with my foster siblings, but it’s still too scary to walk on my own. I’d really like to have a dog friend at my new home to keep helping me learn to play and go on walks. I hope you see the hope in my eyes that you will be my human. I really need you. Story
Who doesn’t need an Otto in their life?! This youngster just arrived into our program and while he is still being assessed we could not help but post him. Otto was with his previous owner helping her get through some life struggles and was just a gem taking his job very seriously. Sadly, the owner felt that she could no longer provide Otto with the best home that he so deserves. The tough decision was made to bring him to us knowing we could find him the ideal home to match his needs. Otto loves to play as most youngsters do. As much as he loves to play, he will settle in for some cuddles and down time. House training is not only done but he will pause at the door for potty time. Tug of war is his favorite pastime so another canine companion would be nice but not required if he can have some fun play dates or doggie day care visits. Otto walks well on a leash but may need the occasional correction. Food motivated means he will be a quick study to learn all his Collie lessons. We feel that agility or rally would be right up his alley as being a Smoothie he is very smart. More information and photos will be coming soon so keep watch off our Facebook and Instagram pages while our website is still down. Otto is being fostered in SE Michigan If Otto strikes your fancy and you are ready to help him continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don’t wait! Story
PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED Hi world!! My name is Smokey. It’s taken me a while to get the courage to introduce myself. My past is my past, and with your help and love, I am ready to begin my new life. I dream to be adopted by someone that loves a rainy night, where we can snuggle on a couch next to a warm fire. You, reading a good book, me resting my head in your lap while you stroke my silky ears. My ideal home will be quiet and stress free, as I am quite sensitive. I am not a party animal. I would like to have a sister or brother to help me overcome my shyness. You see, I have never been loved before. But I am so ready to discover how wonderful love can be. I know in time, with your patience and support, I can become the beautiful Collie that is waiting inside me. If you are a looking for total devotion, look no further than me!! Smokey came to us with an infection on his nose and has been under our very capable vet’s care that has been treating him with medication. Happy to report he has not only made great progress but it does not seem to bother him one bit. Story
Snoop is a beautiful puppy! All he wants is to be LOVED! He was born on 11/24/2024 to 2 dogs who work on a farm. Owner does not have time to care for him given his special needs. He was born with birth defects to both front legs. They appear to be fused at the elbow and the legs below the elbow are bent inwards towards his chest. He works so hard to keep up with his brothers and sisters. The litter was 6 and all others have now been adopted out. He has not yet been to a vet - wanted to leave that to his new owner. Was wormed with Strongid at 2, 4, and 6 weeks old. No other shots as of yet - just turned 8 weeks old this past Sunday. All this beautiful boy wants is LOVE!
