Story
PHYSICAL FENCE PREFERRED Scout came into our program when his owner felt he deserved a more active lifestyle than he was receiving. This is an incredibly special Collie boy who deserves to have all the boxes checked for him. Having been very well cared for, Scout is ready to start his new journey with an active family or individual. He’s got not only good looks but he’s incredibly smart, energetic and athletic. Unlike most of our Collie friends, he loves to fetch and will kindly drop the ball at your feet to go another round. Frisbee anyone? He is not shy to ask for what he wants going into a cute stretch and bow for attention. How cute is that?! When Scout is outside, he will twirl in circles with excitement. For this reason, we feel a fence would be in his best interest so he can play freely. Scout enjoys car rides and leash walks and will gladly walk on your left side as he works on his heel command. He has learned many verbal commands followed by hand gestures and of course praise when he obeys. Cuddles..yep! That works too for Scout and chin scritches are the best! He is good with dogs, kids, and humans but will try and herd and chase the kitties so a cat free home is best for Scout. If Scout strikes your fancy and you are ready to help him continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! And if Scout isn’t your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Please visit https://tristatecollierescue.org/how-to-adopt/ to complete the adoption application. Scout is being fostered in IN (Indainapolis area) If you are interested in this dog; and wish additional information, you MUST submit an application on our website. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have. In order to continue our rescue efforts and help more dogs, we require an adoption donation ranging from $75 - $500, depending on the age, breed and the expenses incurred on the individual dog. Our application can be found at http://www.tristatecollierescue.org/ under the adopt tab. Thank you

6 FOOT PRIVACY FENCE REQUIRED Litter Mates Seek Forever Home Together Meet Pippi and Polly. Adorable Scottish Collie litter mates seeking a forever home where they can stay together. These two loving sisters have grown up side by side and share an unbreakable bond. Through no fault of theirs, they came into rescue and need your love. PHYSICAL FENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED Get ready to fall head over heels for Blue, the stunning blue-eyed merle Collie/Aussie that's about to steal the show! This young and adventurous boy is fresh into TriState and is guaranteed to turn heads with his striking good looks. With a personality that's just as captivating as his appearance, Blue is ready to capture hearts and find his forever home. Blue came into our program through no fault of his own when his owner suddenly passed away. This really rocked his world but like most of our Collie friends, he is very resilient and looking forward to the next chapter. He was very loved and it shows in his easy-going personality and willingness to please his humans. Blue loves new adventures like hiking and exploring and will need an active family/human to help him in his weight loss journey. And if that’s not enough, his resume includes knowing sit, down, come, stay and hand signals! But we expect nothing less with the mix of two very intelligent breeds! If Blue strikes your fancy and you are ready to help him continue to be the best Collie/Aussie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! Story
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application! How do you spell fun? We spell it P-O-P-P-Y! This sweetheart is just full of joy and a playful spirit. At 6 months old, she still has much to learn, but she’s eager and curious. Her foster mom said that upon arrival, she was reticent—until she had a bath, a meal and quickly realized, being a fast learner, that life is great! When Poppy goes outside, she loves to play and explore, but once inside, she quickly settles down to snuggle next to her favorite person. She’s always alert indoors—ready to follow her fosters wherever they go, not wanting to miss a chance to join in or simply be near them. Poppy can be a bit reluctant with new experiences, like visiting the vet, being leashed, or meeting someone for the first time. However, she quickly overcomes that hesitation and returns to her happy, playful self. Love seems to follow Poppy, whether it’s with other dogs or people, she is a bundle of love. Poppy has just begun living a great life and is eagerly waiting for her forever person to take her the rest of the way home Dont forget to visit our informative website, www.almosthomeohio.org, for valuable information and interesting features.April 28, 2025, 9:10 pm
