PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED Here is what Griff wants you to know about him before you take him home: “Well well, well....just look at me!!! I am incredibly good looking, wouldn't you agree? At just 5 years old, I am ready for a lifelong relationship. And I tell you what, you could not ask for a better-behaved Smoothie, as we are called, than me!! I am immaculate in my housekeeping. I will gladly go into a crate, but I would be more than happy just to sit by your side and adore you!! And walks??? Oh, you know it!! I would love just to show you off around the neighborhood! I'm a gentleman through and through. I am a little vocal when I see other dogs, but I am just saying," Look at me!! Am I not gorgeous?" I like little people, but not too little! I get rambunctious and might knock the littlest ones over! Trust me, I need a fence. Only because small creatures excite me too much and I just may chase them! So, no felines or small doggos please. I am ready to be your forever boy!! Call and meet me today!! “ Love, Griff If Griff strikes your fancy and you are ready to help him continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! I am Princess Zelda. As my name suggests, I am a true lady. Like my namesake, I am beautiful, proud, and intelligent. I hail from the south and have all the southern charm you can imagine. Unfortunately, I fell on hard times when my owner became ill and could no longer give me the life I so loved. They did their best for me and continued their love for me by helping me find a new perfect home thru Tristate Collie Rescue. My foster mom thinks I would be a loving addition to any home. Story
Jolene’s got nothin’ on our Dolly!! Dolly knows this, and at a young 7 years old she is ready to complete her journey. Dolly is a beautiful lady that is particular about just who she wants in her life. She is fine with cats, and has lived with them previously. She is equally ok with older children that are savvy in dog behavior and dog language. Dolly came in with a massive coat. Several grooming sessions and lots of effort was put into saving her coat but sadly she had to be shaved. It was the best decision for her own health. It is starting to grow back and we are hoping it will come back healthy and shiny now that she has good nutrition (and lots of love from her Foster family)! Dolly loves to eat, and she is a little thicker than she should be. She will need a home with a diet conscious family that is willing to help Dolly achieve that girly figure we all want. She is very smart and eager to learn and will do anything for a cheese snack. Dolly would thrive in an active household, and does not necessarily need another canine companion. She will share her playtime with other pups, but her meal and space are hers. She has not had much primping or pampering in her short life, so she is just learning that being fussed over is a good thing. Dolly needs patience and love to become the sweetheart Collie she was always destined to be. Are you her special person that will show her how wonderful life is?? Dolly is being fostered in Michigan If Dolly strikes your fancy and you are ready to help him continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED! Introducing Delectable Dallas!! This young boy found himself homeless after a devastating illness sidelined his family. He is a little shy and uncertain right now, but nothing that love and whole hearted trust won't cure. Dallas is a cowboy, and loves a good roundup. But hey now, he is, after all, a Collie! Dallas is learning the ropes of everyday life and is so eager to lasso your heart with his sweet ways. He walks well on a leash but will need a bit of work and prefers wearing his harness. He was just neutered on 10/25/24 and working things out of his system (wink, wink). Dallas is young and ready to become your partner! Give Dallas a giddyap, and get ready to ride off into the sunset with this youngin!! Story
We really outdid ourselves with originality in naming Cattle Dog, or “Cattle D” for not much shorter. Cattle Dog has all the energy and big personality you would expect from a Cattle Dog—he will patrol your yard to protect it from both squirrels and ghosts, but when not under attack from these nefarious villains, he loves to play with his friends and loves giving kisses and hugs and getting attention from his people. He’s a fantastic dog and just the best boy. A physically fenced yard is required. Cattle Dog is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio. If you are interested in adopting Cattle Dog, please complete the online application here (copy and paste into your browser): https://hhdane.formstack.com/forms/lostpetrecoveryadoptionform

Story
DobbieMaleAge: 2.5 YearsWeight: 48 lbsBreed: Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd MixRequirements: Herding or Working Breed Experience Hi, I’m Dobbie! I am an energetic, cuddly & curious boy, who gets along great with other dogs. I am still learning what a cat is and that they usually don’t want to play with me, but my foster family thinks long term I’ll be a great cat sibling! I am quite excitable so would do best in a home without young kids. I am house & crate trained. I love learning new things and have mastered all the basics like walking on a leash, basic commands (sit, stay, down, come, wait, okay, no) and can even “place. I would love an adopter who can continue learning and growing with me and challenging me to be my best self. Being a young Cattle Dog mix, I will require an active adopter who is experienced with herding or working breeds and will ensure I am getting the mental stimulation & physical exercise I need but also knows when I need some chill time to continue being a happy boy. I would love a fenced in back yard for games of fetch and to chase squirrels, although this is not required.I am a bit unsure of new situations and places which means I will require a patient adopter who is willing to work on socializing me long term. In my free time I love to PLAY, be outdoors, cuddle, and be as close to my humans and fur siblings as physically possible. I also REALLY love to give kisses.  I can’t wait to have an adopter all my own who will provide me all the love and the active lifestyle I deserve! If you are interested in meeting Dobbie, apply to adopt at: www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $350. Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children must be 10 years old or older. ##1385204##

Story
ABOUT ME… Hello, I am Dante!! I am a Border Collie mix who may be a bit shy when you first meet me, but don’t let that fool you—I am quick to warm up. With my soulful eyes and soft, wavy coat, I hope I can soon be your best friend, eager to explore the world and stay close by your side. I love discovering new places, whether it's a walk through the park or an adventure in the backyard. I am still little so sometimes I need your reassurance. I love to cuddle and give kisses. I am in a house with elementary age children and 1 other dog who is 2 years old, who is teaching me the ropes and I am a fast learner! I AM GREAT WITH… I get along great with the other dogs and like children. I am a fast learner. I am learning to share and learn boundaries and treats drive me to learn more. I am doing really well on my crate training and with the right toys and cozy blanket enjoy my time in the crate. I AM STILL WORKING ON… I was not potty trained, but I am working hard on it, and I hardly have any accidents now. I go outside and inside very easily. My foster family has a doggie door and I can go in and out when I need to go. I'm also learning to stand by the door to let my foster family know I have to go outside. I AM NOT GOOD WITH… I have not met a cat yet so I do not know how I feel about them. I REQUIRE… Just a little patience and understanding while I learn and explore the world around me. I am curious and love to explore and hope you will be my new best friend. **All animals in our care are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (age 1 & up), given preventatives, and provided with initial vaccinations AT MINIMUM. Booster shots are included in the adoption fee and will be performed at our clinic, or the adopter can use their own vet at their expense. Adopters must reside within 2 hours of Columbus, OH. No transportation assistance is available.**
