Story
Cash is a handsome young male Collie mix who was brought to the HSOV on May 21, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who found him at Civitan Park in Belpre Ohio. Cash was accompanied by another Collie mix (Presley) who was most likely his brother since there was a definite family resemblance. Neither of the boys were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped. Cash has a black/brown/beige long-haired coat in a brindle pattern, huge paws, a long fluffy tail, and a gorgeous face with dark brown eyes, a black button nose, black shading on his slender muzzle, and large floppy ears. Cash has a friendly personality and loved attention during his photo session at closing time on May 21st 2024 when he and Presley enjoyed playtime in our grassy photo area. Cash appeared to be the more outgoing of the dynamic duo and was quick to give our HSOV Lead Canine Kennel Tech some great 'puppy kisses' as thanks for helping him pose for his photo session. Neither Cash nor Presley appeared to have had any 'walking-on-a-leash' experience, so our kennel techs were happy to provide 'carry-out' (and 'carry-in') service for them which the boys seemed to enjoy. Cash weighed 34 lbs that day. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Cash and Presley will be held for three days so that their family will have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership. Since he was not reclaimed, Cash went home with a foster family on May 29, 2024 who planned to adopt him after he was neutered. Cash was neutered on June 5, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. He was adopted by his foster family later that day. Unfortunately Cash was returned to HSOV on May 30, 2025 because he did not always get along with the other dog in his home ... So Cash is once again looking for his forever home. Cash still has a slim physique and currently weighs 34 lbs. On a happier note, Presley was adopted on June 11, 2024 and is still in his adoptive home.
