Story
These babies were brought to us after a lady’s neighbor left the pregnant mama. She kept the mom but could not keep her babies. This is a fun group of pups! They get along with strangers, kids and other dogs. They do well in a crate, usually just go to sleep. They would do well on hikes or other outside adventures. They are in a puppy teething mode so beware of fingers!! They are in need of all basic puppy training and just loads of love! A wonderful addition to any family. She is currently being fostered in TN but we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! I'm Rhys, a sweet and cuddly Great Pyr Mix. I'm a handsome boy, weighing in at 45 pounds and still a puppy, so I'm growing and learning every day! At home, I'm all about the cuddles. Whether it's on the couch, bed, your lap (even though I'm a bit big for that), or basking in a sunny spot, I'm happiest when I'm close to my humans. I'm also quite playful with other dogs – I love a good game of chase and splashing around in a kiddy pool. I might be a bit clumsy, but I've mastered the art of tucking and rolling when I tumble – hee hee! Belly rubs are my favorite, and I'm always ready to give you lots of kisses when you need them. I'm almost potty trained – just need to stick to a good schedule. I'm getting better with my crate, too. I might bark a bit at first, but I settle down quickly. I'm still working on my leash skills, but I go for daily walks and enjoy them. I know some basic commands like "sit" and "down." I'm great with other dogs of all sizes, and while I love having doggy friends, I could be happy as an only dog too, as long as I'm not left alone for long periods. In fact, I would thrive with other dogs in my forever home so hope you have some playmates for me. All in all, I'm a low-energy, affectionate pup looking for my forever home where I can continue to grow, learn, and share all my love. Could that be with you? *I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
Welcome Maizi to CCPAL Foster Program. Maizi is a 4-month-old Smooth Coated Collie/Australian Cattle dog and maybe some Pyrenees. She is about 30 pounds right now and should be 55 full grown. These pups are good with other dogs, good with kids, good in a crate and they love water. Marina is the most water dog one of this puppy litter. Dad looks like an Aussie and Border Collie and the mom looks like a Lab and Pyranees. These puppies are well cared for in their foster home. They have beautiful shiny coats and all of them are sweet and submissive. They are shy in new environments but they all warmed up quickly to affection. Maizi met all kinds of new people and she was supper sweet to everyone she met. She is not a big shedding pup and she has a gorgeous shiny coat. She would be great with an active outdoorsy family. She would love to be with a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She has all her vaccines and is taking heartworm and flea medication monthly. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Hi, I’m Sammy. I’m a collie beagle mix born approximately 3/17/21. I have the legs of a collie, but the beagle side of my personality is what comes out the most when it comes to sniffing. When I came to NDLB I was heartworm-positive and had a skin issue. I just finished my heartworm treatments and as you can tell from my pictures my fur has grown back beautifully. I get complimented on my coloring a lot when out for walks. Once I decide you’re my human I will stick to you like glue. I do well with my foster parent's dogs but sometimes if they are playing, I will mistake it for aggression and growl. I quickly stop if told no. Other than that, I get along great with them. I would be a great only dog since I love my humans. I go to the office with my foster mom and do well with all the customers that come in and the pesky office cats I just ignore. I’m quiet as far as barking unless I see deer or other critters on my walk. I sleep well all night on a dog bed in my foster parent's bedroom. I prefer not to be in a crate.  I do have separation issues when my foster mom leaves me at home and I have escaped from the house twice but as soon as she pulled up, I was right there by the car. This might be because I go to the office with her every day but it is something that needs to be considered. My foster parents think I’m super smart and maybe training and longer daily walks or a fenced-in yard would help with the separation issues.  I’m a very happy girl and love my walks but also don’t mind a good snuggle on the couch or right by your feet. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $395.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 5:33 pm

Story
Snapshot of Teddy: Size? Medium to Large Activity Level? I play hard and snuggle harder! Noise Level? Usually quiet - but sometimes I will bark to let you know when something is happening. Good with Dogs? Yes! I would love a playmate. Good with Cats? Yes! Good with Kids? I love kids! But sometimes knock down the little ones unintentionally.  Good with Strangers? Yes! Potty Trained? Almost there! Crate Trained? Still learning, sometimes I bark when I first go into my crate but I quiet down. Shedding? Some About Teddy: Teddy is an absolutely beautiful chocolate colored border collie mix. He started his life out in a hoarding house with over 20 other animals so he's had very little training. But despite that, he is a REALLY sweet boy. He loves to be with his people, chew on stuffies, and run around in the snow. We've been working on kennel training and he's doing really well! He will often need some convincing to go into his crate. But once he's in, he's quiet and calm. We currently crate him at night, during meal time, when we're gone, and for short periods throughout the day so that he can get used to being in there during the day time if his future family works outside of the home. Potty training has been going well too! He waits by the door 80% of the time and is really good about getting his business done first and then playing once we're outside. This has been really helpful because this dog loooooves the snow! He prances around our yard and loves to chase the other dogs. We've noticed that as he has settled in more, his energy level has increased so having the ability to let him run as much as he wants has been really great. We haven't taken him on walks because he was pretty timid when he first arrived then the holiday chaos happened. But he will need some work on leash walking if his future family prefers walks over free play in a fenced yard! I'm sure he would love walks with his family though. Teddy has done well with our dogs (they're his size or smaller) and has been respectful of our cats. He will occasionally try to push out cats out of their napping spot and they respond with a hiss. But he reacts appropriately and finds a new spot to snooze. We have young kids as well and he sometimes knocks them over unintentionally or mistakes their toys for his. But that's the only "issues" we've had! He doesn't mind the loud noises or unexpected movements and really loves when they give him extra pets! He also redirects to an appropriate chew toy easily. Teddy loves to be where his people are and will follow us from room to room. He will also try to be a lap dog occasionally. But he is generally pleased just to be in your presence. Surprisingly, he doesn't bark a lot! He will join in if our dogs are barking at the delivery driver or at a squirrel outside and will sometimes whine/howl when he first goes in his crate. But that's about it. Overall, Teddy has been an excellent housemate despite his initially rough start to life. He would love a family that wants to snuggle with him regularly and doesn't mind him being present for all of your daily household activities. He would love a fenced yard to run in or an active house that wants to help him learn to walk on a leash. Teddy loves the companionship of our dogs and would do best in a home with another young, playful dog. But he may also do fine as an only dog if his human is home regularly. Teddy is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age. Adoption Fee: $550 + applicable tax MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you'd like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ or clicking "adopt me!
