Story
These babies were brought to us after a lady’s neighbor left the pregnant mama. She kept the mom but could not keep her babies. This is a fun group of pups! They get along with strangers, kids and other dogs. They do well in a crate, usually just go to sleep. They would do well on hikes or other outside adventures. They are in a puppy teething mode so beware of fingers!! They are in need of all basic puppy training and just loads of love! A wonderful addition to any family. She is currently being fostered in TN but we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Meet Maverick! Maverick is just a baby who is still learning what being a dog is all about and is catching on very quickly. Whether it’s cats or dogs, if it’s got fur and it moves, Maverick automatically wants to play with it. This can be frustrating for senior dogs, while younger dogs will think that it’s great. Maverick likes to play with toys but gets easily distracted by the brand new world that is waiting for him to explore. Because Maverick is still learning manners, he would fit best in a home with older children. While he does well with not jumping on his foster mom, it is possible that he could accidentally knock a smaller child down. Overall, Maverick is pretty gentle and likes to snuggle with his foster mom from time to time. His crate training is coming along nicely and he can currently go for about five hours before needing to be let out. If Maverick sounds like your dog, complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Thank you for your interest in a Save a Stray pet. The first step is to complete an adoption application. https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Transports leave every week alternating between the NE and the Great Lakes. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Hi, I’m Sammy. I’m a collie beagle mix born approximately 3/17/21. I have the legs of a collie, but the beagle side of my personality is what comes out the most when it comes to sniffing. When I came to NDLB I was heartworm-positive and had a skin issue. I just finished my heartworm treatments and as you can tell from my pictures my fur has grown back beautifully. I get complimented on my coloring a lot when out for walks. Once I decide you’re my human I will stick to you like glue. I do well with my foster parent's dogs but sometimes if they are playing, I will mistake it for aggression and growl. I quickly stop if told no. Other than that, I get along great with them. I would be a great only dog since I love my humans. I go to the office with my foster mom and do well with all the customers that come in and the pesky office cats I just ignore. I’m quiet as far as barking unless I see deer or other critters on my walk. I sleep well all night on a dog bed in my foster parent's bedroom. I prefer not to be in a crate.  I do have separation issues when my foster mom leaves me at home and I have escaped from the house twice but as soon as she pulled up, I was right there by the car. This might be because I go to the office with her every day but it is something that needs to be considered. My foster parents think I’m super smart and maybe training and longer daily walks or a fenced-in yard would help with the separation issues.  I’m a very happy girl and love my walks but also don’t mind a good snuggle on the couch or right by your feet. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $395.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 5:33 pm

Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD This here is Brantley (but prefers the name Max). He is very sweet, playful and loves to cuddle. Completely potty trained but still not a fan of his kennel. He does have some anxiety when his humans are away, and this is still being worked on. He is a sweet boy but will need an understanding and patient home. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Loki is a 2-year-old Border Collie mix and the sweetest boy ever! Weighing 60 pounds, he’s convinced he’s a lap dog, always eager to climb onto his humans for snuggles. One of his favorite ways to show affection is by putting both paws on your shoulders and nuzzling in for a hug. This quirky pup also likes to lay down to eat his food—just like the rest of us who enjoy a good meal on the couch!Loki has come a long way since arriving in his foster home. He is house trained on a regular schedule, and is pretty quiet overall, so he makes for a great roommate. While he loves being close to his humans, he settles well when left alone for a few hours. He now sleeps in the bedroom with the resident dogs at night and does just fine, happily curling up on the bed for snuggles. During the day, he’s left out in the house with both dogs and cats without any issues. He enjoys the company of other dogs and thrives with those that aren’t overly dominant, doing especially well when given a slow introduction. Loki did great at his last adoption event as well, behaving nicely with both people and other dogs. In terms of energy, Loki is a perfect balance—he loves to lounge and relax but is also up for a good play session. Fetch is one of his favorite games, and if you can’t reach a toy, don’t worry—he’ll bring it to you! He’s incredibly smart, playful, and eager to please, making him a wonderful companion. While a fenced yard is recommended for safe outdoor exploration, Loki has also shown great recall and stays close when outside without a leash. If you’re looking for an affectionate, fun-loving, and devoted companion, Loki is ready to bring his hugs into your life!If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional's recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal's history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Meet Little Luna – The Sweetest Adventurer!Little Luna is a 3-month-old Blue Heeler/Border Collie. Weighing 14 pounds now, she’ll likely grow into a medium-sized pup who will fit perfectly with an active and loving family!Luna is an affectionate, curious, and spunky puppy who loves to explore, play, and cuddle. She’s still working on house-training and does well when taken out every few hours. While she’s crate-trained, she’s still a baby and will whine for a bit before getting settled. She’s incredibly social and adores meeting new dogs, often looking to bigger dogs for guidance as she gains confidence. She loved interacting with kids and can get very excited! For this reason, supervision is advised around small kinds as she’s still learning boundaries. One of Luna’s funniest quirks is her love for ripped-up tennis balls—she’ll carry one around like a little treasure and bring it to you as if offering a special gift. When she’s not bouncing around, her favorite pastime is snuggling up on a bean bag to watch TV. She’s got puppy energy and will need plenty of playtime and mental stimulation as she grows, making her a great match for an active home that can engage her in fun activities. While Luna does whine or bark when left alone, she mostly vocalizes when she sees you for the first time or needs to go outside. Because of this, she wouldn’t be the best fit for a home with shared walls. A fenced yard would be nice but not required, as long as she gets plenty of exercise.Luna is an adorable, playful, and loving puppy who’s ready to find a home that will continue helping her grow into the amazing companion she’s destined to be! Could that be with you? https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Story
Meet Moriah – The Playful Snugglebug!Moriah is a 3-month-old Blue Heeler/Border Collie mix. Weighing 16 pounds now, she’s expected to grow into a medium-sized intelligent and active companion and join an active and loving family!Moriah is a bold, playful, and affectionate pup who loves to run, explore, and cuddle. She’s always the first one out the door when it’s time to go outside and just as quick to return when playtime is over. While she’s still working on house-training and adjusting to crate training, she’s a fast learner and will thrive with consistency.Moriah adores other dogs, especially bigger ones, and loves to wrestle and play. She also has a soft spot for kids, enjoying cuddle time but still working on not jumping up in excitement. She’s full of puppy energy and will need lots of exercise and mental stimulation as she grows—making her a great match for an active home ready to engage her in training, play, and adventure! Her favorite toys? Chuck It balls and stuffed animals—especially the ones bigger than her that she proudly drags around the house! She’s also quite vocal, barking when excited or in her kennel, so a home without shared walls would be best. While a fenced yard would be nice, it’s not required as long as she gets plenty of activity.Moriah is a spunky, affectionate, and adventurous pup who can’t wait to find a forever family that will keep up with her playful spirit and love her snuggly side.
