Story
Sola is a very sweet female Collie mix born in approximately March 2023. We don’t know a lot about her history, but it is clear that she has had lots of love and interaction with humans throughout her life.  This girl is extremely affectionate, sweet, playful and smart.  She truly is a wonderful pup! Sola learned potty training quickly and is now fully trained!  She is very good in the house as well.  She tends to stay off the furniture (except when she’s feeling lovey), and doesn’t chew or grab inappropriate things.  She prefers her toys and doesn’t counter-surf.  She sleeps in a crate, and stays in there quietly all night.  We have, on occasion, crated her during the day for up to 4-5 hours at a time and she does very well.  Sola gets along well with other dogs of all sizes, and even interacts nicely with cats.  She does like to play a little energetically at times, so smaller or older dogs may not appreciate her enthusiasm.  Outdoors, Sola likes to explore.  The woods are her favorite!  She’s great on a leash, and would make a perfect hiking buddy, or walking partner.  At home, she would do best with a fenced yard, but she does very well on a tie-out as well.  What we are working on with Sola:  she's enrolled in an obedience class, and we expect her to do very well.  We have been teaching her that not everyone loves kisses (she loves to lick, but this is improving), she is learning basic commands (she knows sit, down, get down, leave it and treat….selectively understands come and stay (distractions sometimes get her attention).   She can be pretty high energy when she gets excited, although she can also be calm, quiet and loving at other times.  We feel that all of these are manageable and will take some time and consistency. Some of our favorite things about Sola:  she rarely barks, she’s always happy to see us, she gets along with all of the other dogs (and cats) in our home.  She is very eager to learn.  We love the way she prances and hops around in the morning, simply because it’s morning.  She is such a good, easy dog already but we feel she has a ton of potential.  We can’t wait to meet the lucky family who gets to call this girl their own!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $495.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 16, 2025, 9:15 am

Story
Name: Hailey Age: 3 years Gender: Female Breed: Collie/Lab/Heeler mix Weight: 50 lbs Dog friendly: yes  Cat friendly: yes Child friendly: yes House trained: yes Crate trained: yes but not needed does fantastic left out Energy level: Moderate Temperament: independent, handler-focused, kind, gentle, intelligent, loyal Requirement: Not apartment appropriate but could be in a townhome or condo Adoption fee: $500 +tax To adopt, go to: www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html From the Foster Family:  Hailey has been in our home for many months, through raising her 8 pups, through heartworm treatment, and recently dental work.  She is an energetic companion who likes walks and outside sniffing, exploring, etc.  Her earlier life as a stray taught her to be wise about survival. She resembles Aussie and Cattle dog traits, as she is alert, guarding, and loyal to her human.   She has been around other adult dogs often and does well and likes to play.  During her time with us, she's had many social opportunities with people and dogs of all ages.  This dog deserves a good, loving home. (Not that any dog doesn’t) but she has been through enough.   She is unable to do some things with her mouth - just because she is missing many of her front teeth.  They were damaged beyond repair when she came into care and needed to be removed.  She doesn’t require special food, and will enjoy some bones and chew treats as she has her back teeth to eat with.  Once she acclimates to her home and family she should be an easy dog to care for.  March 13, 2025, 11:56 am

Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD This here is Brantley (but prefers the name Max). He is very sweet, playful and loves to cuddle. Completely potty trained but still not a fan of his kennel. He does have some anxiety when his humans are away, and this is still being worked on. He is a sweet boy but will need an understanding and patient home. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Hi, I’m Sammy. I’m a collie beagle mix born approximately 3/17/21. I have the legs of a collie, but the beagle side of my personality is what comes out the most when it comes to sniffing. When I came to NDLB I was heartworm-positive and had a skin issue. I just finished my heartworm treatments and as you can tell from my pictures my fur has grown back beautifully. I get complimented on my coloring a lot when out for walks. Once I decide you’re my human I will stick to you like glue. I do well with my foster parent's dogs but sometimes if they are playing, I will mistake it for aggression and growl. I quickly stop if told no. Other than that, I get along great with them. I would be a great only dog since I love my humans. I go to the office with my foster mom and do well with all the customers that come in and the pesky office cats I just ignore. I’m quiet as far as barking unless I see deer or other critters on my walk. I sleep well all night on a dog bed in my foster parent's bedroom. I prefer not to be in a crate.  I do have separation issues when my foster mom leaves me at home and I have escaped from the house twice but as soon as she pulled up, I was right there by the car. This might be because I go to the office with her every day but it is something that needs to be considered. My foster parents think I’m super smart and maybe training and longer daily walks or a fenced-in yard would help with the separation issues.  I’m a very happy girl and love my walks but also don’t mind a good snuggle on the couch or right by your feet. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
