Story
Meet Dai Mar – The Gentle Gentleman with a Playful Spark! Age: 12 years (13 in August) | Breed: Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog Mix Weight:    66 lbs | Adoption Fee: $375 | Neutered: Yes Don’t let his age fool you— Dai Mar may be a senior in years, but he still has the heart (and play drive!) of a much younger pup. This sweet, easygoing guy loves squeaky toys, a good game of tug-of-war, and—most of all—being near his people. He’s the kind of companion who’ll be by your side through thick and thin, offering loyalty, love, and the occasional goofy grin. Dai Mar is friendly with everyone he meets, including other dogs, cats, and respectful kiddos. He’s potty trained with a regular routine but does have an occasional accident, hasn’t needed to be crated, preferring to spend his time near the people he loves. While he's mostly agile, he occasionally needs a little help going up and down steps—but he’s still active and enjoys moving around. He is a vocal guy when it comes to unexpected noises, so a quiet, calm home would suit him best. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted friend with a golden heart and a playful streak, Dai Mar might be the perfect match for you. He’s ready to bring joy, love, and companionship into a home that will treasure him as much as he’ll treasure you. Ready to meet Dai Mar? Apply today and give this sweet senior the cozy, love-filled home he deserves. A s a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.  Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.  Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!     October 11, 2025, 9:59 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Jaxx, a bold, busy pup who’s finally finding his confidence. He’s energetic, curious and always ready for an adventure. Snuggles come after zoomies but when he bonds, he bonds hard. He’ll do best with older dog savvy kids and a medium/large dog friend who can keep up. He’s reactive to small dogs and cats but cats could work in a home where they can be safely managed or kept separate. Some space to roam and get his energy out would be ideal. Jaxx is still learning the world and can be nervous with loud noises or new people. Potty training is going great and he’s crate trained. He is a typical herding pup breed and can be vocal at times.  With patience and structure Jaxx will grow into a loyal, loving companion who thrives with someone who understands his breed. Jaxx is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Ember a playful, energetic pup who’s finally coming out of her shell. She’s playful, curious and likes to snuggle once she’s tired out. She’ll do best with older, dog savvy kids and either as an only dog or with a medium/large dog who can match her energy. She is reactive to small dogs and cats, but cats could work in a home where they can be safely managed or kept separate. A home with some room to burn off her energy would be ideal.  Ember is still learning the world, so sudden loud noises and changes still feel scary to her. She is doing great with potty training and is crate trained. She is a typical herding pup and can be vocal at times. With patience and structure she’ll be a loyal, loving companion. Story
Location: Woodbury, MN Meet Shadow 🖤 (Professional Observer. Selective Snuggler. Equal-Opportunity Cuddler.) Shadow is the kind of dog who watches the room before entering it. He’s thoughtful, intelligent, and takes his job as “emotional barometer” very seriously. Once he decides you’re safe, he’ll reward you with quiet companionship, soulful looks, and the occasional dramatic sigh. He’s affectionate—but in a low-key, meaningful way. Shadow isn’t here to sit on your face or steal your snacks. He prefers leaning against you, settling nearby, and choosing closeness rather than demanding attention. Once comfortable, he happily shares his affection with the people he trusts — including curling up for a snuggle when the mood is right. Shadow is kennel trained, house-trained, and highly tuned in to his surroundings. He thrives with predictability, clear boundaries, and humans who speak fluent Dog Body Language™. Because he’s sensitive and perceptive, he does best with older kids or teens, and with younger kids only if introductions are slow and respectful. Energy-wise, Shadow is solidly medium. He enjoys walks, toys, and short play sessions—but he’s equally talented at napping. He walks nicely on leash, appreciates calm “sniff and stroll” walks, and does not require a fenced yard. Bonus fun fact: his recall is quite good when expectations are clear (he likes rules—don’t tell the other dogs). Shadow can live in a multi-dog household, especially with calm, socially appropriate dogs and humans who manage shared resources like food, chews, and prime nap spots. With the right setup, he’s capable of peaceful co-existence and selective play—but he’s not into chaos, drama, or free-for-alls. Shadow bonds deeply but not possessively. He’s not a one-person-only dog — once he feels safe, he’s happy to snuggle with trusted humans and settle in wherever the vibes are calm. If you’re looking for a smart, soulful dog who will quietly choose you (and then maybe your partner too), Shadow might just be the perfect addition to your home. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Location: St Paul, MN Meet Juno! She has the cutest "masked" face and behind that mask is a beautiful girl with the sweetest temperament. She is eager to please and very affectionate. She's got the perfect amount of puppy energy combined with superb cuddling skills. Juno is housetrained and is quickly learning new commands like "sit" and "down". She gets along well with her resident dogs and loves toys. Juno is working on gaining weight as she came into the rescue underweight, but she loves eating so will quickly get back to an ideal weight. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
