You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxMeet Finn Finn is an 8-year-old, 50-lb mellow guy who loves napping, short walks, and hanging out near his people. He enjoys toys (especially if treats are involved!), can be cuddly, and also appreciates his personal space. Finn is anxious around loud noises and reactive when he sees other dogs, so he’s looking for a quiet home where he can be the only pet. He hasn’t lived with cats but has ignored chickens. He greets people calmly outside the home and politely “announces” visitors with a bark. He does best with a predictable routine and would thrive in a home where someone is around more often—his current home’s 12-hour shifts are just too hard on him. Respectful children are fine. Finn is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and eats a prescription urinary diet. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back companion, Finn is ready to meet you.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

Hi! My name is Henry Waternoose, and I am from Arkansas! From his foster: Puppies don’t get much better than Henry Waternoose. He’s well behaved, easy going, and gentle. He sleeps through the night, happily greets strangers, and is highly food motivated which makes training easier. Need a buddy for the kids? Henry thinks tiny humans are great! Have a dog already? Henry loves to play! Although his name is from Monster’s Inc, his mission is not to collect screams but rather lots and lots of snuggles. Henry doesn’t like to snuggle up next to you. Henry likes to snuggle on you. If you think Henry sounds like he’s a good fit for your home it’s because he probably is.

Temp foster needed from 12/31 - 1/4! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can say YES to fostering this animal! Hi, my name is Carol, and I am from Tennessee! From her foster: She loves walks and runs, does well on a leash, and has mastered some basic commands. I'm working on house training; it's a work in progress with her but she's coming along. She's good at going in crate when directed to do so, but will howl/bark for a little while before settling down. She’s wonderful with other dogs and absolutely adores people. Ace snuggler. Very sweet temperament that's on the calmer side. But also game for adventuring. I don't have cats so unsure if friendly with them but I have no reason to think she wouldn't be.

Story
Hi, my name is Mona and I am from Oklahoma! From her foster: Meet Mona! Mona is a 7-month-old Collie/Australian Shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for people. She settled into her foster home quickly and wants to be part of everything you’re doing. Mona is very smart and has already started picking up basic commands, showing just how eager she is to learn. She loves going on walks, playing in the snow, and romping around with dogs of all sizes, especially her foster’s small dog. Mona is on the higher-energy side and will do best with an active home that can give her plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. While she can get hyped up easily, she also settles down well. She’s been doing great with potty training, has had only one accident, and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. Mona is spayed, nearly done with her meds, and ready for her forever home!

Story
I am looking for a foster starting on 12/17! If you can say YES please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org. Hi, my name is Dakota, and I am from Tennessee! From his foster: If you're looking for a sweet, energetic companion, look no further! Dakota is the perfect blend of loveable fun and spunky energy. This happy pup has a heart of gold and loves spending time with people – whether it's playing, cuddling, or just hanging out. Belly rubs? Yes, please! Dakota can’t get enough of them and will happily roll over to show you his soft belly. He also loves long walks to explore the world, and loves the snow, so if you enjoy getting outside, he's your ideal buddy! With his fantastic personality and love for life, Dakota is ready to bring joy and laughter to your home. If you're ready to add an easy going, people-oriented, dog to your family, Dakota is here, waiting to shower you with love. Dakota has a strong prey drive and is very interested in squirrels, rabbits, and other small animals. For this reason, a cat-free home would be best as we’re unsure how he would do with cats. Dakota sleeps soundly in his crate at night, settling down quickly, but he’s a bit more vocal during the day when left alone. He eventually quiets down, but a home where he isn’t confined to a crate for long periods of time would be ideal for him. Dakota knows basic commands like "sit" and "no," and he’s working on “stay” and “off.” With a little training and consistency, he’s sure to keep growing into an even more well-behaved companion.

Story
Hi, my name is Ringo, and I am from Tennessee! From his foster: Ringo is a sweet young dog. He is quiet, gentle and submissive. He approaches new people and things cautiously, head down, until he figures out the situation. Then his tail starts slowly wagging and he comes over for some pets. Ringo will take quickly to some training. He’s a smart boy who’s a good listener. He runs to you when he’s called, and doesn’t like to be too far out of your view when he’s out in the yard. He enjoys hanging out with my resident dog. While Ringo’s social skills are a little awkward at his young age, he gives things a try. He responds nicely to any feedback he gets from my dog, and either backs off or starts to play, depending on the vibe. He has been playing nicely with my dog outside. Taking turns chasing each other, doing play bows, rolling on the ground to let the other dog wrestle with him, and vice versa. Ringo has not been around cats or kids yet. On walks, he is protective of me when he sees other dogs and people, but he responds really well to redirection and praise when he feels safe. He is a loving dog who wants to be with his people and be happy!

After navigating life on her own, she’s learned to appreciate the simple things: a soft place to nap, some gentle attention, and a safe spot to lounge inside or out. She’ll greet you at the door with a wagging tail, but she’s not demanding—she comes to you when she wants affection and is content to snooze the day away. On walks, Brit is a dream. She stays right by your side at any pace and enjoys exploring the world calmly and confidently. She tolerates other dogs and does well with children, but her happiest life will be as the only pet in a quiet adult home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Rza pronounced (Rizza) is a 39lb spayed female who is about 5 years old and waiting to be your best friend! She is a wonderful companion dog - loving and devoted to her people. She loves cuddling on the couch and will sleep with you. Rza is just a charmer with extremely soft fur and a cute smooshy face and beautiful deep brown eyes! Rza is generally a pretty calm dog most of the time - and like many of us in the winter time, is a little "fluffy" right now from too many treats.    Rza is fully potty trained and lets you know when she needs to go out with a couple special barks. She loves eating grass in the summer and relaxing in the sun, taking breaks to roll in the fresh smelly lawn. On colder days, Rza loves laying on her bed in front of the heating vent in the winter and playing in the snow. he likes being brushed and loves lick mats.     She loves tug of war and fetch for about 10-15 minutes at a time, then she takes her ball away and chews on it. She is food motivated except on walks or when she is a little nervous. But oh, does she love walks! Rza's foster is working on her barking when she sees another dog on walks. She is very clumsy and will accidentally knock children over - so no small kids would be best!   Rza came from living outdoors in North Dakota where she was attacked several times by packs of dogs twice her size. Because of this, she is dog selective and would prefer to be the only pup in the home - she won't be a dog you can take to a dog park or a brewery. However, she can play with single dogs her size (40 lbs) who are used to a rougher play style, but occasionally will become overstimulated so play should be supervised at all times. There's the chance that she may be able to live with an older similar sized calmer dog. Rza does have resource guarding with toys and food, which is another reason why she might be happier as a solo dog. If you would like to learn more about Rza, please submit an interest form on our website:      https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com Follow us on Facebook & Instagram! https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue/ @RedemptionRoadRescueMN *Adoption fee for Rza is $395 + MN tax* All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (@12 months or older), microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.  *Since we typically don't know a rescue dogs actual genetics, their breed and estimated size when grown on their bio is just an educated guess based on information and observations we have.*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 14, 2025, 7:58 am
