Story
Meet Tofu 🐾🤍 This handsome Collie mix is the perfect blend of sweet, smart, and full of life! At around 8–9 months old, Tofu is still very much a puppy at heart — just in a teenager-sized body with lots of energy to spare. He’s incredibly intelligent and already shows all the classic Collie traits: eager to learn, observant, active, and always thinking. Because of his busy brain, Tofu will thrive in a home that can give him plenty of mental enrichment and “jobs” to do. Puzzle toys, training sessions, agility, hiking, sniff work, or learning new tricks are all great ways to help keep him happy and fulfilled. Without enough stimulation, this smart boy may decide to make his own fun! Tofu is looking for an active home that will continue guiding him through his puppy/teenage phase while helping him become the amazing companion he’s meant to be. With structure, consistency, and lots of love, this clever boy is going to make an incredibly loyal and fun best friend 💛 - Around 8 months old - Currently under 45lbs - Good with cats and dogs - Adoption fee: $175 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Include information about your family and pets, what you are looking for in a canine companion, how you plan to exercise and train this dog, and why this specific dog seems like a good fit for your family. Those who provide the previous information will be considered first for this canine. Please do NOT call our center. This will help us match you and the animal the best we can. We usually respond via email within 24-48 hours; please check your spam folder if you don't hear from us. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.

Story
Meet Snap! SEE FOSTER UPDATES BELOW! HOUSE-TRAINED, CRATE-TRAINED & LOVES OTHER PUPS! This one-year-old bubbly border collie mix is one lovey dovey dude! He's 50 pounds and is ready to be the best friend you could ask for! Snap is currently living it up in an amazing foster home and we are excited to share all we have learned about him. House-trained and crate-trained, Snap aims to please! He's affectionate and outgoing with everyone he meets! He's a master snuggle baby and won't hesitate to find a comfy place on your lap to enjoy. Throw in a belly rub and he's yours! Snap loves the company of other pups and would make an excellent pal for your family fur baby. Give this energetic guy a rope toy or ball and he'll be as happy as can be! He's a rockstar in the car and on leash. He's ready, willing, and able to join you on all of your adventures! Snap is a smart guy who will thrive in an environment where he will receive continued training and lots of daily exercise and mental stimulation. Looking for a running buddy or a pal to hit the trail with? Snap is your man! He is a very capable boy and knows multiple commands including sit, stay, heel, come and off. A fenced-in yard for him to enjoy would be ideal due to his prey drive, but we may consider the use of a tie out if he was receiving a high amount of exercise to meet his needs. After a fun-filled day, he sleeps quietly through the night. Based on our evaluation, we feel Snap will do best in a very active home with adults or families with kids ages 12 and up. He may have the capability to live in a home with other dogs of a similar energy level and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. A home free of cats and small animals is required. Someone with breed experience who can keep him engaged is preferred. If you think he sounds like the guy you've been searching for, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our sensational Snap!
