My Personality
Hi, I’m Nellie! I’m a young and lively Border Collie girl, born in June 2024, with a beautiful black-and-white coat and weighing about 10 kg (22 lbs). I was rescued from a high-risk situation in Masan, and now I’m ready to start a new chapter with a loving family. I’m still a puppy, so I’m full of energy and curiosity, but I’ve got a heart of gold and a quick mind that’s eager to learn.
I’m a friendly, affectionate pup who warms up to people quickly – I’ll happily approach strangers and lean in for pets. In just an hour or two, I’ll show my trust by rolling over to expose my belly! I have a sweet, gentle side, but I’m also still learning the ropes of life, so I sometimes get a little excited. I adore my humans more than anything and love being by your side. I’m a fast learner! My love for food makes me especially motivated when it comes to training. I’ve already picked up commands like “sit” and “wait” with ease, and I’m eager to learn even more. I respond quickly to corrections, so gentle guidance goes a long way with me.
My Social Side
I’m a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs! I greet both familiar and new pups with enthusiasm, and I’m always ready for some fun. I don’t play favorites when it comes to size or breed – I just like making friends. That said, I prefer spending quality time with my people most of all. When it comes to food, I’m still learning to share. If another dog gets too close to my meal, I might let out a little growl to remind them it’s mine. It’s something we’re working on, and I’m already showing progress!
My Energy Level & Walks
Like most young Border Collies, I’m energetic and playful, so I need plenty of outdoor activity to keep me happy and calm. I love exploring and stretching my legs, but once I’ve had my fill of playtime, I settle down quietly for a nap. Even though I’m still new to walks, I’m doing really well! I don’t pull too much on the leash and tend to look back at my human for reassurance. I’m a natural at matching your pace, so I’ll make a great walking buddy as I continue to grow.
My Daily Routine
I’m currently learning about indoor manners. I use outdoor potty spaces very well, but I’m still figuring out how to use potty pads indoors. I sometimes think pads are for playing instead of doing my business, but don’t worry – I’m a quick learner, and with some patience, I’ll get the hang of it!
