Story
Meet Mykah, a magnificent looking 4 year old, 28 lb cocker spaniel boy. If you are looking for an exercise buddy, he is your boy! He still has the energy of a puppy and needs an active adopter/family — he gets a 40 minute walk each morning, swims every day in his foster’s pool and 2 hours of play in the backyard in the evening and could go longer if his foster dad let him. He loves to run in the yard where he has taken up the time honored tradition of chasing squirrels. He loves toys and balls (and does not like to share them) and has found every last one in his foster home. Mykah loves to go on walks and is strong! He wears a harness without issue and is working on his leash walking skills. He will need continued training to become more secure when he sees other dogs and cyclists. He is dog selective — good with his foster brother, an older dog but NO CATS. Mykah is very snuggly and affectionate with his chosen human and attaches to that person quickly. As such he needs an ADULT ONLY home (NO KIDS). He does ok in the car but needs to be crated (which he is fine with). He has a great appetite - no worries there - and has developed a taste for cheese. He is great for brushing, grooming and ear cleaning. Mykah prefers someone to be home more often than not and will bark when left alone or wants your attention. For that reason, we are looking for an adopter with a single family home, a fenced-in yard with pool and where he will not be left alone for long periods. If you would like to make Mykah a forever member of your family, please complete an application through our website: www.floridacockerrescue.org. His ADOPTION FEE is $350.

Story
Hellooooooo my name is Johnny!!! I am a 4 year old 30 lb cocker boy full of life, personality and energy BUT my story is one of loneliness, neglect and outright abuse! The nice gals at FCCR took me in after my "owner" decided they really didn't have time for me - I came severely matted with a collar embedded in my neck, heartworm positive, and scared to death of people. My old life consisted of living in a crate or running loose in a yard full of fleas and a brother who bullied me constantly - BUT THAT IS MY PAST and FCCR says my best days are now ahead of me. That nasty collar was surgically removed, my neck infection was treated and has resolved, I've been professionally groomed, and I have completed my heartworm treatment. My foster Mommy and Daddy are taking super good care of me- they say I am a survivor turned heartthrob LOL- they lavish me with love and attention, are patient with my quirky behavior ( it takes a while for me to trust humans and strangers) due to my previous trauma, and they understand that time heals most wounds, both physical and emotional . I'm told I am a super intelligent boy and a quick learner- specially with positive reinforcement in the mix ( ie food- I love food!). I get along with other pups as long as they respect me , are not aggressive / alpha and don't bully me. My foster mom says with the right "human leadership" I am a calm and sweet prince. NO KIDS PLEASE- they scare me- I need a quiet home where I can be the center of attention :-). I'm in a quiet, nurturing and loving foster home now- life is Good- the only thing better would be a forever home---with experienced pawrents that can decode my "stress signals," maybe take me to some pet training , and turn my sad story into a fairytale ending- could that be you? If you think so please fill out an application at www.floridacockerrescue.org ADOPTION FEE: $350.00

Story
Everyone say hello to Cocoa!!! Cocoa is a sweet and docile 12 year old/ 27 lb chocolate boy who was given up by his family after a lifetime of loyal devotion to them- sadly this happens thru no fault of a dog- people just "move on" to the next chapter of their life and discard their senior pets. BUT not to worry- FCCR has a heart for seniors and Cocoa is one very special and loving boy- this little man is absolutely a golden child with perfect manners to go along with him. Cocoa only sees shadows due to mature cataracts and he is a bit hard of hearing - nonetheless he will follow you when treats are being handed out and will explore the yard with his four-legged foster siblings too. Cocoa is looking for a friend and companion that will embrace him in his senior years...and he will in turn devote himself to you . If interested in adopting our golden child with regal manners please fill out an application at www.floridacockerrescue.org ADOPTION FEE: $275.00

Story
HUNK ALERT! Welcome Weston, a 7 year old, 28lb black cocker spaniel boy! This sweetheart is a total love bug. He gets along with other dogs great and loves the Ladies so we would welcome and prefer a WOMEN ONLY home- he is scared of men. We do not know how he is with cats or kids . Weston loves to shadow his humans everywhere. Need an escort to the kitchen or bathroom? He will ensure you make it there safely and are, of course, not alone. Need a foot warmer or an extra “pillow” to snuggle? He is Downy soft and will keep you comforted. Need a few extra kisses just because? He is pawsitively that pup!!! He can be a little vocal when he feels his voice is not being heard. He will certainly make you feel missed and loved when you return from your outing ...even if your excursion was merely a three-minute walk to the mailbox and back. As a result, we think apartment or condo living is not suitable for Weston. Weston is slightly hearing impaired, but that does not stop him from partaking in family festivities. He is always up for a pawty or snuggle on the couch and loves to go for walks and car rides. We are looking for that special human who will continue to work with him to become his best doggie self and shower him with attention. If you are interested in making Weston a member of your family, please complete an application through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. His ADOPTION FEE: $300.00

Story
Good day all! My name is Jackson and I am a 7 year old 33 lb cocker boy in search of my forever home. As you can tell form my pictures I am a very handsome fella but of course I have more great qualities than just the good looks LOL. Foster mommy says I have impeccable house manners, know basic commands and get along great with most dogs my size or smaller....it's the big ones that I bark at and seem to be afraid of. I also bark at strangers when I'm taken on walks ( I do pull a bit so that needs to be worked on) or when I see them pass by the front of the house...maybe it's the protector in me, but foster mommy is working with me on the barking thing- aside from that she says I am a VERY smart boy and a cuddle bug at heart...and of course she be right! I love attention, giving and receiving kisses, back scratches, tummy rubs etc etc. If interested in providing me with a forever home and making me a part of your family please fill out an application at www.floridacockerrescue.org ADOPTION FEE: $350.00

Story
Hiiiii FCCR Friends!! My name is Milo and the nice ladies here recently welcomed me with open paws. I am a handsome 9 year old gentleman who is looking for a walking buddy to help me work on my New Year’s resolution to loose a little weight (I am 32 lbs right now 🙃). I have big brown eyes 💕 and those gorgeous cocker curls when my fur grows in (see my arrival pix before I got a groom). I am friendly and get along with other dogs but not sure about cats. I like my humans but not their little ones so a home with no kids or older kids would be best. I have a big heart 💗— which I already knew — I’m a cocker after all! 😆 If you are interested in adopting me, please go to the FCCR website, https://www.floridacockerrescue.org/ to submit an application. ADOPTION FEE: $300
