If you look up the word "adorable" in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of this whole litter! Sure, they are cute, but they are just as sweet! These puppies are in our jail program where female trustees care for puppies while we get them vetted and adopted into wonderful homes. The program is great for socializing pups and beginning their training. We believe the pups are Cocker/Pug mixes and will be small, but we KNOW they will be a great addition to any family. If you'd like to adopt one of these cuties please fill out our application at www.goofyfootrescue.org

Story
Meet Magic, an ~8 year old neutered male cocker spaniel mix. Magic was in bad shape when he was taken into rescue, but with some time and love, he has really blossomed. This senior boy is blind and does not hear very well, but he has plenty of life left in him. He is now ready to find a furever home to live out the rest of his days. Magic is a sweet old man who is good with other dogs and people. Due to his age and blindness, we recommend older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space. He is an easy, low maintenance dog who sleeps a lot and really doesn't require much.  He is medically up to date and is housebroken with a dog door. Apply to meet this sweet senior gentleman today! Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2237359##

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.12/14/24  Jax is a fantastic 10 month old cocker spaniel mix. He is a very affectionate, playful boy who loves everyone. He is currently in a home with children (newborn to preschool), cats and other dogs, and he is great with all of them! Jax was part of an accidental litter. When the owners couldn't find him a home they dumped him on a family member, and that is who has him now, but can't keep him. He is mostly kept outdoors but is allowed inside too. He is not quite housetrained yet, but is working on it. It's hard with multiple pets, a newborn baby, and toddler/preschool kids. It's a busy household which makes it difficult to watch him for cues that he needs out to potty. In a home of his own, with a little focused attention, he will learn. Jax and his sister Jose have so much love to offer a family. They just need to find someone to give them a chance! He does have a very minor cherry eye (prolapsed tear duct) in one eye. It is not significant enough to do surgery and does not interfere with his vision, but does sometimes cause tears from that eye. There is no treatment needed at this time. Please see the last photo. Jax is fully vetted, about 40lbs, and ready to go to a new home now!*We have more pictures of him on our Facebook or you can email us and we can send more. This site only allows to put 4 pictures. In New England. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
