Story
Meet me at PawSafe, 348 Old Colony Rd, Eastford CT Meet Charlie. This little nugget of energy is rumored to be a cocker spaniel / pomeranian mix but only a DNA test will unlock the mystery. She was purchased from a local "breeder" but her family wasn't able to give her the time and training she needed. She is a fast little thing and goes from floor to chair in under 3 seconds. She's friendly to all - adults, kids, and other dogs. She needs a lap, housebreaking, and some rules!
We'll also keep you updated on Josie's adoption status with email updates.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Josie is a 9 month old cocker spaniel mix. She is the sweetest, most fun loving girl who is great with everyone she meets. She is currently in a home with children (newborn to preschool), cats and other dogs, and she is great with all of them! Josie was part of an accidental litter. When the owners couldn't find her a home they dumped her on a family member, and that is who has her now, but can't keep her. She is mostly kept outdoors but is allowed inside too. She is not quite housetrained yet, but is working on it. It's hard with multiple pets, a newborn baby, and toddler/preschool kids. It's a busy household which makes it difficult to watch her for cues that she needs out to potty. In a home of her own, with a little focused attention, she will learn. Josie and her brother Jax have so much love to offer a family. They just need to find someone to give them a chance! She does a very minor cherry eye (prolapsed tear duct) in one eye. It is not bad enough to need surgery and does not interfere with her vision. There is no treatment needed at this time. Please see the last photo. :Josie is fully vetted and ready to go to a new home now!  *We have more pictures of her on our Facebook or you can email us and we can send more. If you look up the word "adorable" in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of this whole litter! Sure, they are cute, but they are just as sweet! These puppies are in our jail program where female trustees care for puppies while we get them vetted and adopted into wonderful homes. The program is great for socializing pups and beginning their training. We believe the pups are Cocker/Pug mixes and will be small, but we KNOW they will be a great addition to any family. If you'd like to adopt one of these cuties please fill out our application at www.goofyfootrescue.org
