Story
Halsey is a unique pup who seems to have had a horrible start in her life.  She is very submissive to humans. She will crawl to you when called, then roll over in submissive pose and whimper when you pet her.  If you stop petting her she crawls closer wanting attention and pets, but she seems scared of human hand. She’s come a long way with her foster in just couple days.  She allows her foster to now pick her up (she whimpers) but she’s much better.  She has to sit on you when you sit down. Not near you ON YOU LOL. She tends to follow women more than men but not more afraid of one over the other.  She has no food aggression but is very food motivated.  She skipped out of the house and her foster mom couldn’t get her to come to her.  She grabbed a treat and she immediately came.  She is dog friendly but doesn’t back away from confrontation.  She has been homeless so long, no doubt she has learned to stand up for herself. She’s a beautiful dog but will definitely need training.  Her foster mom also notices she grunts at times.  Not quite a growl or a grunt but a mixture of both. Her foster is feeling out what she is trying to communicate. She will definitely need a patient and committed adopter because being so young, she has so much potential to be a great dog. All she wants is her forever family to take a chance on her and make her the best dog ever. November 3, 2024, 5:22 pm

Story
If you look up the word "adorable" in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of this whole litter! Sure, they are cute, but they are just as sweet! These puppies are in our jail program where female trustees care for puppies while we get them vetted and adopted into wonderful homes. The program is great for socializing pups and beginning their training. We believe the pups are Cocker/Pug mixes and will be small, but we KNOW they will be a great addition to any family. If you'd like to adopt one of these cuties please fill out our application at www.goofyfootrescue.org
