Story
In a round-about way, through a friend of a friend's daughter, we have been fostering this cute, 11-month-old Chow Chow for about 3 months but now he's ready for his forever home. He's fully potty trained, knows sit, working on come, heel & stay. He does pretty well on a leash, except when he wants to chase a rabbit. He can be leery of strangers who approach him and will growl and back up. Doesn't warm up quickly to new dogs but does have a few neighbor dogs that he enjoys walking with seems to like cats. He's good with waiting to eat his food, spinning in circles until the bowl is put down, but can get a little possessive of chewing treats. Kind of a goof ball at times, especially when he gets the zoomies at night. Loves belly rubs, playing tug-o-war and patrolling the yard for rabbits. Would do best with an experienced dog owner who can continue training and a house that doesn't have a lot of people coming in and out. Would love to have a yard to run around in and explore.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Hi, I'm Astro, a 8-year-old Chow/Lab mix. Don't let my serious face fool you, I'm a goofy sweet guy! I like to get to know my people slowly, but once I do I love your pets and scratches and I'll even sit in your lap! I'm very food motivated and guard my food and toys with growls and can be stubborn. I love to go for walks and walk well on a leash. I know lots of commands (sit, stay, up, down, lay down, shake, wait, let's go) and love performing for treats. I was recently in a foster home and here are some of my likes/dislikes that they shared about me… Like: food!, exercise/walks and agility, butt scratches, sleeping in my crate, chewing my toys, watching out the window, music, water, other dogs, comfy beds, getting baths Don't like: brushes, towels and loud trucks Astro would do best as the only dog in a house without kids or other small animals since he can be protective and is strong. He will need a family familiar with protection breeds like chows. Astro is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His fee is $200.

Jesse was born on a farm and was rehomed to me when she was 3 years old. She is currently 8 years old and her birthday is September 7th making her a Virgo. We’ve had an amazing life together. She has recently had one of her eyes removed. She has not changed a bit since the operation. Other than a permanent wink, she is very happy and healthy. Her temperament is very calm. She loves hikes but loves walks around the city just as much. Jesse is the perfect dog to take on adventures and the perfect cuddle companion.

*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. Currently, Rangi found her forever family so Longi is the only one who is still waiting for a family. Who will be the last lucky fam??!! * Compatibility with People: Likes people! Is a bit shy at first, but expresses herself, asking for pets once she settles in. Is wary but is nice and shows affection. * Compatibility with Dogs: Is a bit wary at first. Growls occasionally as a refusal sign when she encounters other dogs. However, lies down with them and greets them by wagging her tail once she becomes used to them. * Compatibility with Cats: Does not react to cats strongly. Becomes startled when cats come by quietly. * Separation Anxiety: None at all. Spends her own time comfortably. * Potty Training: 100% outdoor potty. * Hygiene: Does not like water but takes bubble baths nicely. Accepts combing very well. Dislikes blow dryers so has been left to air dry. * Walks: Was a little awkward while walking, but now prances along and wags her tail. Doesn’t pull on the leash at all and keeps in step with her walker. Meet Snowflake! He is a jindo mixed breed who got rescued recently from our team. He is one-year-old, 15.8kg/34.8lbs boy. Behaviours from the previous foster: He is very smart and gentle. He is well potty-trained. He isn’t a big barter. Even if he barks when he is scared by a stranger, he can stop soon with your short and firm “No”. He has no separation anxieties at all and he is ok with bath, groomming, ear cleaning. (He gets a little bit nervous in the dry room but can be stay still.) He has good walking manner. He can walk at owner’s pace together. He gets along with other dogs too. But he walks, he tends to concentrate to only his walking. He doesn’t have any interest in other people and dogs on his walk. He may be a little bit shy at first time, But he will approach to you once you give him some time and space to get used to his new environment and his new family. He loves people so much and especially the one who give him an attention and cuddles. He has so much love in him. He will give you a big love if you show him your love. He would love to play with you and be with you forever.

Meet COCONUT!! Coconut is a sweet and lovely Jindo mix boy who loves people :) Behaviours from our shelter: Coconut is such a happy, sweet and loving baby boy who loves everything in the world. He is a bit timid and shy at first time as he is still a baby- but once he gets more comfortable- he will just love you and be happy with you furever. He doesn't mark on things, but he will need house training as he is just a baby. He isn't a big barker, either. He may bark sometimes to get your attention and love- but it is quite rare. He is ok with collar, hareness and leash- but he will need training on his walk. He is good with other doggie friends- He is also good with strangers and kids- He will need some time to get used to them at first, but he will become more comfortable and friendly after some time. He is also good with bathing and grooming. He doesn't love ear cleaning, but he will let you do it with gentle touch. Coconut is just happy baby boy who loves his doggie friends and people. He may need some training for a few things as he is a baby, but he is a full of joy and happiness and he will just love you furever :D Allergy/health issues: He has no allergy/health issue.
