Hi! Thanks for noticing me! I am currently at the Norfolk Animal Care & Adoption Center on stray hold while I wait for my owner(s) to come find me. During my stray hold we are taking adoption applications. If not reclaimed by my owner(s), then I will be available for adoption on 11/21. Please call 757-441-5505 or email nacc@norfolk.gov to speak with an Adoptions Counselor for more information on me.*Disclaimer* This animal may have maximum number of applications or already be adopted. Our computer software takes 1-2 hours to refresh when an animal leaves the shelter. Please come visit the shelter or call us at 757-441-5505 to get the most up to date information on each animal. Sandee was adopted from our shelter ten years ago and was found a stray recently and brought into our shelter. Sandee spent her stray hold with us and she`s became a staff favorite since entering the building. Sandee has an unknown neurological disorder that hinder her mobility. You many notice she has a funny walk, however that doesn`t stop her from running around. Sandee can not go into a home with any children or other animals in her forever home. She requires a person that has a lot of free time that can give her a lot of attention as she wants to be at the center of attention. Adopters will be required to sign a medical disclosure in regards to her preexisting condition

Meet Parker!  This precious little guy is 4 years old and about 12 lbs.  Evidently Parker did not have a very good life prior to joining Critter Cavalry.  We think he was bullied by another dog.  He is a 'sit on the sidelines and watch' kinda guy who doesn't really want to play with anyone.  He doesn't mind the other dogs and definitely is not mean.  He would just rather be with people.  Parker is super sweet and loves people.  He just wants to be where his foster mom is.  Parker would be a wonderful companion for someone that just wants one dog and who would like a dog they can take places.  He would love that and would love to be friends with all your friends.  He is just precious and very friendly.  He gentlY smells you to make sure you are OK and then he is good.  He was smiling during his photo shoot and seemed to enjoy all the attention.  If you are looking for a loyal companion then you have found him in Parker.  Parker is doggie door trained, neutered, current on all shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.  To be considered for Parker's forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Parker is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm
