Story
Pip Pip has been with us since Thanksgiving day. He's adjusted really well. He coexists with all the family animals, cats included and couldn't care less about them but will let them know with a growl they've entered his personal space. His focus is collecting all the squeaky toys and being with/on his foster mom's lap. He goes outside very confidently, does his business, claims his territory and comes back in to find his lap again usually holding a toy. His communication could be determined as mean but that is not the case. It's his way of showing that he likes petting, and scratching and just ALL the attention. He'll lean in hard to your neck for lovin's. A fashionable belly band would help in the beginning because he wants to claim the inside as his territory too but he is housetrained. Trazadone helps to calm this boys excess energy for now, Pip Pip would make a great lap dog for anyone who is looking.

Story
Nina and her sister Pinta were rescued from the dog pound. We believe these adorable girls are chihuahua/dachshund/pug mixes (the curly tails coming from the pug). Both girls have very soft fur. Nina has a bit of blue in one eye so there is something else in the mix. They are young, probably between one and two years of age. At 19 pounds, Nina is the larger of the two girls. Nina is very affectionate, sweet, and playful. She is a little shy but warms up quickly. She is a lapdog who loves pets and cuddles. She likes treats and will toss them around and play with them before she eats them. And we just found out that she loves snow! Nina would probably do best in a home with another small, playful dog to wrestle and play chase with. Nina is crate-trained but needs some more work with house and obedience training. Her new family should give her plenty of attention and playtime, take her on walks, and give her a lot of cuddles and affection. Nina must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and needs a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Nina is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Nina is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to several scheduled stops in Ohio - including but not limited to - Columbus, Cincinnati, and Akron, OH. Story
Say hello to MOLLY! Molly is such a doll you can’t help but smile to look at that adorable happy face. This love bug came into the rescue from a hoarder situation. Molly is fully vetted, spayed and 2 to 3 years old. She is in a wonderful foster home with some of her friends from her old place and with a couple of her foster mom’s dogs and doing just wonderful. This sweet loving pup needs a home to call her own that is not overwhelmed and over crowded with other dogs. Such situations lack the time and attention every dog deserves. Molly is going to make an awesome companion for any family. Especially little dog loving families. She is dang near perfect. Personality: Molly is goofy, energetic, and playful! She loves to snuggle up on the end of the couch for long naps. She is soooooo ready to be your new best friend and would love a home where she can grow to be a wonderful life long family friend. Once adopted Molly will travel via the Rescue Transport to her new family. They travel each weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the northeast, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Are you the type of person that likes to give sweet older pups a chance they might otherwise not get? Sweetie loves attention and will happily help you out by guarding the door of the bathroom from the inside. However, she can also be quite the independent little lady and doesn’t need to be a velcro dog… unless you want her to be! Sweetie can be a little bossy with her dog friends (part of why we think she’s mixed with chihuahua!) but generally gets along well with everyone. Sweetie is a beauty but would benefit from a little tough love when it comes to feeding and giving out treats and a little more activity in her day. A physically fenced yard is required. Sweetie is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio. Meet Randy! Randy is an 11-pound Chihuahua who came to us from another rescue. He is a shy guy, who can initially be aloof. Once he is comfortable with you, he is a Velcro dog. While he is still learning how to navigate life in a home, he has done well with basic training and obedience! If Randy sounds like your kind of pup, come meet him today!

Story
Meet Camille, a small but mighty tan and white Chihuahua with a heart full of love waiting to be given to the right person. At first, she may seem a bit shy, taking her time to warm up to new people and environments. But once she feels safe and comfortable, her true personality shines through. Camille transforms into a bundle of excitement and joy, her little body dancing in pure happiness as she seeks out snuggles, affection, and love. She adores being held close, thriving in environments where she can be the center of someone's world. Camille would do best in a home where she’s the only pet, as she doesn’t particularly enjoy the company of other dogs. She craves the undivided attention and affection of her human companions, and in return, she will shower them with all the love she has to give. Camille is a true cuddlebug who lives for the moments when she can curl up next to you, basking in the warmth and safety of your presence. While Camille is still awaiting her spay surgery, but she is otherwise a happy little girl who will be fully available for adoption once that is taken care of. She’s ready to find her forever home—somewhere she can receive all the spoils and endless love she deserves. With patience, care, and understanding, Camille will become the most loyal and loving companion. Will you be the one to give her that special home?

Story
Billy is a very sweet but shy boy who barely escaped death with his buddy Butch. They were already in the euth room in a shelter in Texas, but fortunately we were able to pull them just in time. Billy and Butch were roaming the streets with a few other dogs when they were picked up by ACS. It has been a rough start to life for these two, but we are hoping they will find a wonderful family to show them that life can be good and not all humans are bad or scary. They are definitely bonded and must be kept together. Billy adjusted pretty quickly, but little Butch is frightened and less trusting and will take a little longer to warm up. Once he begins to trust and relax, you will see his loving and kind personality emerge. Please submit an application to meet these two special boys. Canaananimalsanctuary.org

Story
Butch was so frightened when arriving to us, but who wouldnt have been. Picked up as a stray with his buddy, Billy. Taken to the shelter where he was minutes from losing his life. Then transported across the country with lots of other barking and frightened pups. It’s been a whirlwind of stressful events. But even so, Butch began to relax slightly after a few days and after a week he allowed us to touch him. It just takes a little time and patience. Billy warms up a lot faster, but with time these two will be a delightful addition to any family. We are looking for someone with the time and patience to bring the best out in this sweet boy who Wants so badly to trust and believe there is good that exists in this scary world. At not quite three weeks we are now receiving kisses from Butch. Both boys are vaccinated, neutered, flea and tick treated and microchipped. Please submit an application to meet these sweet little guys. Canaananimalsanctuary.org

Story
Rocket is a tiny feisty 2-year-old 10 lb chihuahua. With those bat-like ears he may have some rat terrier too! He is not even 10 lbs and loves to be carried. He is not a fan of men (or women) who wear hoodies but once they take off the hoodie, he is fine. Rocket has that chi personality where he is top dog and nothing scares him. He is so cute when he walks- he throws his feet out in front of him and prances like a Clydesdale horse! He will sniff greet other same size dogs appropriately and seems ok with other dogs. He does have some barkiness in a crate but outside of his crate he is fine. If you like that feisty chi personality Rocket may be the boy for you. Apply at www.caninecollective.org.
