Story
Nina and her sister Pinta were rescued from the dog pound. We believe these adorable girls are chihuahua/dachshund/pug mixes (the curly tails coming from the pug). Both girls have very soft fur. Nina has a bit of blue in one eye so there is something else in the mix. They are young, probably between one and two years of age. At 19 pounds, Nina is the larger of the two girls. Nina is very affectionate, sweet, and playful. She is a little shy but warms up with time and loves pets and cuddles. We think it would be best if Nina went to a home with another small, friendly dog to be her friend and give her confidence. Nina is crate-trained but needs some more work with house and obedience training. Her new family should give her plenty of attention and playtime, take her on walks, and give her a lot of cuddles and affection. Nina must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and needs a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Nina is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Nina is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to the Pittsburgh area. Hey all you fabulous folks out there, I'm here to adopt me a family, a home...one I can say is ALL mine!! I'm dreaming of that special family that will take a chance on making that wish a reality. I don't need a lot, just a soft place to lay my head, a bowl of my own and some love! I am around 8 years old and came from a hoarding situation of 96 dogs all in a small house, yes 96 dogs, where our living situation wasn't very good. I am so appreciative of all the little things that most dogs take for granted. A kind word, a gentle pet, a soft bed, some tasty treats!! I am so very loving, coming for some pets every chance I get and my favorites are ear scratches and belly rubs. I would do great in a quieter home where my person(s) could work from home or are retired and I would probably do best in a home without smaller kiddos. I do great with people once I get to know them, I do wonderfully with the other dogs in my foster home from big to smaller and also the resident kitty. I am crate trained but will need some continued work on housetraining but I do know to use potty pads. My chill easy going personality will make for me being a great companion pup for just about any family, even a first time pet parent. I get so excited to see you when you get home even if it was only to step out to get the mail!! I don't really play too much with toys but I do love snuggling on a soft blanket! I will also be your lil shadow, following wherever you go...that lil heartbeat at your feet! If you would like a FBF(furry best friend) to help you with your errand runs, a constant in your life to share in your joys and sorrows...oh my, I AM your boy!!!! Look no further than Viva as in Viva Las Vegas, Baby and hey, hey, that's me! I'm here looking to adopt me a family...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of your family!!!! I was pulled from a local shelter thinking I'd be doing 10 to life but I was so frightened until this rescue got me pulled for scared behavior! I am a tad bit shy at first meet but with some patience and a whole lot of love, I have since blossomed into a very sweet loving gal. I bonded pretty quickly in my foster home but I'd do best in a quieter home where my person could work from home or is retired. I would also do best in a home without small kiddos but I do well with the other dogs in my foster home and love to play with them! I'm probably around 2years old and I come in at about 20lbs. I'm house trained but not so fond of the crate. I do love to be where you are whether it's beside you on the couch or snoozing in my doggie bed beside your computer while you work. I'm pretty mellow and don't need a whole lot of exercise but I do love to sniff everything in the yard and playing with the other pups is just grand!!! I've got a short coat that is super easy in the maintenance department, kind of a wash-n-go type of gal. You do know what that means, don't ya? Yep yep, more time for the spoil me rotten department!! I am sooooo ready to find me a family and be that lil heartbeat at your feet or preferably on your lap, so if you think I'd be a pawsome fit for your home, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application!
