Story
Meet the debonair gentleman Mr. Trottenham (Blue)! Trottenham is an 8 year old 7lb Chihuahua mix that came to us from @Antioch Animal Services . He wanted to tell you a little about himself- Oh hi there! It’s me, Toten Ham! I’m settling in just fine here in my new foster home. They feed me plenty, so that’s good. And the pillows and blankets are really soft. That’s basically all I ask for. Foster mom says I’m a re'ally good boy. Know anyone who wants a good boy to sit next to on the couch?️ Totem Ham is a sweet little old man who wants nothing more than a good nap and a good meal. He can be a little shy when it comes to meeting new people, but as long as you have treats, it won’t take him long to be your BFF. He is a pretty easy little guy to have in our home. He might occasionally give the other dogs or cat a quiet little “hoo” if they get in his space, but otherwise, he doesn’t really get too involved with the rest of the crew. So far, he hasn’t even joined in their howling choir when my neighbors walk by. He will however, join in on the begging and dancing when it’s time for breakfast or treats. This boy LOVES food!! He seems to have been previously trained on piddle pads. He uses them pretty regularly, although he does miss occasionally. He also goes outside whenever we bring him, but he doesn’t not tell us when it’s time to tinkle, so his new family will probably have to work with him on a potty routine. There is always a bit of an adjustment period for house training in a new environment, even for well trained pups. We haven’t gone on a real walk yet, but he was excellent on the car ride home. He does not mind being picked up and carried, which is nice because he also hasn’t figured out our stairs yet. He will use the soft stairs we have to get up and down off the couch, but I think the big human stairs are a little intimidating. If you’d like a sweet, quiet, easy, gentle little man to sit by your side, give Totem Ham a chance. You know you can’t resist that one little toofer and single floppy ear. It’s the cutest little combo!! This sweet fella still needs to have his dental and neuter but unfortunately there is currently a long waiting list so it may not happen until later this month/next month. He will be available as a foster to adopt to someone local to Pittsburg CA who can get him to his appointment when the date is confirmed. If you are interested in foster to adopting this sweet fella please send us an email to beourpet@gmail.com !
