Story
Meet the debonair gentleman Mr. Trottenham (Blue)!   Trottenham is an 8 year old 7lb Chihuahua mix that came to us from @Antioch Animal Services .   He wanted to tell you a little about himself-   Oh hi there! It’s me, Toten Ham! I’m settling in just fine here in my new foster home. They feed me plenty, so that’s good. And the pillows and blankets are really soft. That’s basically all I ask for. Foster mom says I’m a re'ally good boy. Know anyone who wants a good boy to sit next to on the couch?&#239&#184&#143   Totem Ham is a sweet little old man who wants nothing more than a good nap and a good meal. He can be a little shy when it comes to meeting new people, but as long as you have treats, it won’t take him long to be your BFF.   He is a pretty easy little guy to have in our home. He might occasionally give the other dogs or cat a quiet little “hoo” if they get in his space, but otherwise, he doesn’t really get too involved with the rest of the crew. So far, he hasn’t even joined in their howling choir when my neighbors walk by.   He will however, join in on the begging and dancing when it’s time for breakfast or treats. This boy LOVES food!!   He seems to have been previously trained on piddle pads. He uses them pretty regularly, although he does miss occasionally. He also goes outside whenever we bring him, but he doesn’t not tell us when it’s time to tinkle, so his new family will probably have to work with him on a potty routine. There is always a bit of an adjustment period for house training in a new environment, even for well trained pups.   We haven’t gone on a real walk yet, but he was excellent on the car ride home. He does not mind being picked up and carried, which is nice because he also hasn’t figured out our stairs yet. He will use the soft stairs we have to get up and down off the couch, but I think the big human stairs are a little intimidating.   If you’d like a sweet, quiet, easy, gentle little man to sit by your side, give Totem Ham a chance. You know you can’t resist that one little toofer and single floppy ear. It’s the cutest little combo!!   This sweet fella still needs to have his dental and neuter but unfortunately there is currently a long waiting list so it may not happen until later this month/next month. He will be available as a foster to adopt to someone local to Pittsburg CA who can get him to his appointment when the date is confirmed.   If you are interested in foster to adopting this sweet fella please send us an email to beourpet@gmail.com ! Story
We are excited to introduce to you the ever so handsome Spock (Star Trek) !! Spock is a 4 year old 17 lb Chihuahua Mix that came to us from @mantecaanimalshelter Here is what his foster family has to say about him - 'Spock is the whole package. He is smart, and logical while cautious of the unknown. He seemed unfamiliar with walks and scared to venture out much. He will need more leash training to develop his confidence. He is fully housetrained, good with other dogs with more of a passive temperament. He loves people, and seems unphased by other animals such as cats and chickens. He loves to cuddle and be close to you but if you need space he will settle with a pillow, toy or blanket. He has not picked up any tricks yet but loves treats. He doesn’t seem very interested in barking and shadows the other dogs when they bark, just to feel part of the crew. He plays well with other dogs and picks up on the social cues of the more antisocial.'   Spock sounds like a great companion for almost any home. He is being fostered in Vacaville CA which is where he will be available to meet potential adopters. If you are interested in adding this very handsome fellow to your household, please fill out an application at www.beourpet.org/adoptions.php       We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  October 15, 2024, 4:32 pm

Story
Meet Wesley Crusher! Age: 13 yearsWeight: 13 lbsBreed: Chihuahua Mix I'm a sweet, senior guy looking for a cozy home where I can relax and enjoy my golden years. I may be missing a few teeth (okay, maybe a lot), but that doesn't stop me from enjoying dry food and treats! I know how to sit for my snacks, and I'm working on perfecting my bathroom habits and manners. New things can make me a little anxious, so I need slow and calm introductions, but once I'm comfortable, I'm all yours! I love snuggling up in bed and may even get closer as I get to know you better. While I’m quiet most of the time, I’ve just started barking when a new person arrives—just a little shout out to say “hello!” I get along well with other dogs and did great with two fur-friends my first week in rescue. I like to make my mark in the yard, but I don’t stay outside for long. And even though I may slip out of a collar, I’m best in a harness for walks or adventures. I haven’t met cats or children yet, but I’m open to testing it out! If you think I’d be a good fit for your home, fill out an application at:www.beourpet.org/adoptions.php Let’s make this old soul’s final chapter the best one yet. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets. You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  November 27, 2024, 2:40 pm
