Story
My daughter found this little guy wandering the streets on the out skirts of San Bernardino. He was very dirty, covered in fleas & obviously neglected. The temperature was well into the 90's. She brought him home and started posting on all social media platforms about a found dog. She checked any lost and found pet sites, but nobody called for him. Since that time, he has been living with me, his “ grandmother”. But we already have two large dogs, that are playing too trough with him. He gets along great with our cats. This is the sweetest little guy, but he needs to find a permanent home. He would love to have somebody that is home all day to lay at their feet (Or next to them on the couch, if that is allowed). He gets along well with my two larger dogs, but they are young and very rambunctious. So during the day, when I am at work he either has to be outside with them, or locked up in a crate. Which is not fair to him. He is neutered & microchipped. Guessing he is about 5 yrs old.

Story
Meet Carlito! Carlito has come a long way since his transfer to us from the San Diego Humane Society. He was shy, frightened, and emaciated, so we knew we would have to take an extremely gentle approach with this little guy. Carlito is such a cutie! He has since completed his weight gain and is happy and healthy! He has shown us how wild and silly he can be with his friends as they race around the play yards! While he can be a bit skittish at times, he allows us to give him gentle rubs, kisses, and will even close his eyes when we hit his favorite scritch spot: his chest and chin! Behavioral considerations: Carlito is quite scared of the world outside of the rescue facility, his routine, and our staff. He will do best in a kind, gentle, patient, and quiet home that is understanding of his need to take new things slowly and at his pace. Due to evading capture for quite some time prior to being caught by Humane Law Enforcement with a catchpole, Carlito is terrified of being harnessed, will alligator roll when he feels the resistance of a leash/lead, and will dart out of a door or escape route should the opportunity present itself. He also prefers not to be held as this feels constricting to him but will gladly hop onto a trusted person's lap for gentle snuggles. He is a street survivor after all, and his small stature means he had to be fast, agile, and smart to survive. An escape-proof yard is a must for him to safely have fun, explore, and race around as he so loves to do! He's so fast! Regarding COVID-19 and other contagious illnesses: Please reschedule any visits if you are sick.

Story
Meet Katana! This cuddly boy came to us a direct owner relinquishment, which is quite rare for us to accept. Katana wants to be given the prince treatment and loves to be held, snuggled, and cared for oh so preciously! We give Katana smooches all over his precious little face, and he kisses us back just as much! While Katana is doing well with both similar sized and larger sized rambunctious playmates, he enjoys some quiet time just watching his silly friends from a distance after getting the zoomies out of his system. Katana will do best in a home that will respect his boundaries and keep him safe and loved. Health: Katana has what is likely suspected as grass allergies. As it would be unfair to keep him away from his love of roaming the play yards with his friends, he is currently on a daily prescription of Apoquel which has greatly improved his paw inflammation. He is given special foot baths during occasional flare-ups and is doing well on these preventative measures. Regarding COVID-19 and other contagious illnesses: Please reschedule any visits if you are sick.
