Story
Rosie is full of personality. Rosie lived with a 3 yr old child and was unflappable. When taken into stores she loves the attention of young children and is very gentle with them. Rosie loves walks and car rides. She is non confrontational with other dogs and fine with cats. She has her “ blanket” which is wraps herself up in like a burrito. She will sing with you, she will sit up on her legs to get your attention. She is very sweet and affectionate and will sleep in bed with you if you let her. She is up to date on rabies and had a recent heartworm test( neg). She is microchipped. Her health is great and she has no health issues. She can go up and down stairs with easy and is quite athletic. Her adoption includes a brand new coat, harness, leash and collar and her transport up from the panhandle of Fla. A perfection adoption for her would be a “young” senior couple who are active and can take her for walks and grandchildren for her to play with is a plus. Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Max came to Mutt Love when he was surrendered due to time commitments by his caretakers.  Upon first meeting, Max was super friendly with all persons he met and wanted to interact with other dogs coming in.  His temporary foster indicated that Max loves to play ball and will bring the ball back to you.  He is housebroken, crate trained, good with children over the age of 7, he loves to snuggle and is protective of his family.  Even though Max is 7 years old, he has the energy of a younger dog and loves artention.  Let us know if you would like to meet this happy boy!  **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. *Looking for a special adopter for our tiny girl! You've heard of Sour Patch Kids...but have you heard of a Sour Patch Chihuahua? They're rare and we have one for adoption! Minnie is sweet and sour. One minute she's giving you a kiss and the next she's telling you off...then she's back to lovingly looking into your eyes and begging to be cuddled. Minnie was surrendered to a rural shelter when her owner was diagnosed with cancer and could no longer care for her. She's about 5 years old and only THREE lbs. If we had to guess, Minnie has spent the majority of her little life being carried around. She is currently in a foster home with several other dogs of all sizes. She does well as long as the other dog doesn't mind being bossed around by a Guinea Pig. She's working on pee pad training but has a way to go. Minnie is good in the crate and sleeps through the night without a peep. She LOVES toys and bones and will toss them around to herself for hours. It's the cutest when she gets the zoomies...she can really move! This tiny terror of a pup loves her person deeply! She would really enjoy an owner willing to take her for car rides, out for walks, buy her all the toys and treats, and carry her around all day long. Really, she's not asking for a lot.
