Hi! My name is Parker. I am a really sweet little guy and I am just looking for my furever home! I am 10 weeks old (born around 7-25-24), weigh about 3 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. I am doing so well with all of them in my foster home in South Carolina! I am neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for my age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. We rescued 17 dachshund and chiweenies in August. They had not been socialized, their owner died in the house. We are slowly working with these babies and the ones we feel are ready, we get fixed and find them homes. These babies will need a patient family who will work with getting them comfortable in a new house. They may be flight risks so will need to be monitored all the time. Some have been adopted already and have done well. They are not used to being petted, picked up or touched.They are not used to kids so slow introductions will be needed but we don’t see them not liking kids. They are such brave little ones that we are determined they will all eventually get new homes. Ranger is the tallest of the group, not sure what gene is in there! He likes to walk his ‘perimeter’ and bark at anyone who comes near. He likes to play although they aren’t sure how to. He has the little dog energy and would be great with any family. He is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you though Rescue Riders.

I'm guessed to be a 4 year old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix and Foster mom thinks my long pointed nose resembles an Italian greyhound but who knows, right? I'm sweet as can be and small size - currently 14 lbs though I'm pretty lean right now from having to take care of my puppies. So far I appear to be potty trained, doing great in the crate and walk well on a leash. Im a big-time snuggly and enjoy being around my family so be sure to leave room on the sofa or chair for me!I'm microchipped, current on my vaccines and monthly preventives. I will be spayed on November 19th and will be available to go home with an adopter a few days later.

I'm a puppy, so I get bored quickly and when I'm bored I could get in trouble.- I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help me bond with you. That sounds like fun!- I saved the most important for last. I am hoping my new mom or dad will snuggle with me, play with me and love me forever and ever!Please note that because this puppy is so young, it has only received 2 of the required 3 puppy distemper vaccines. This is very IMPORTANT because it means that the immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age. Until then, the puppy MUST stay out of public places where it could be exposed to the germs of other dogs. These no puppy zones include all pet stores, dog parks, and for apartment dwellers, areas used by other dogs. These requirements are strictly for the puppy’s medical safety and longevity.This puppy is microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives.
