Story
Appa (pronounced Papa without the P) needs immediate adoption due to the death of a family member. He has an adoring and quirky personality once he gets to know someone. He is 6 years old and 55-65lbs. When Appa sees other dogs, he usually sniffs around and then just lays down because he is super lazy, but he’s not the biggest fan of human strangers because he is protective of trusted owners, specifically when in the home. He is perfect on walks but when he see squirrels he gets excited. Appa, like all chows, takes a few days to get used to someone and it is best to leave him be and let him approach. Appa is completely house trained and loves being in the car and generally exploring the house. He is fit for apartment life. Appa hates being blow dried but is okay with baths, and he loves getting belly rubs and lots of pets from trusted owners. Otherwise, Appa can be independent and doesn’t always need human attention. Appa also comes with his harness, leash, and a supply of meds!

Story
Rusty enjoys a slower pace of life. He loves to be rubbed and hang out on the couch. He does enjoy his walks. He gets along with other dogs as long as there is a proper introduction. He is a happy go lucky boy. He has hip issues so long walks aren't recommended. He does like walking leisurely around the yard. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He can travel to anywhere in the US and Canada. ##1501779##

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/14007Hi all! My name is Pontoon, but I answer to my nickname “Kona.” I just arrived to Maryland from a crowded shelter in South Carolina where OPH was kind enough to help me find my forever home! I’m guessed to be a malamute mix, but I’m 2 years old and only 38 pounds! I just moved in last night, but my foster mom is already smitten with me. She calls me handsome and smart, and I love to talk to her when I’m excited! I already know how to sit and lay down, and go in my kennel with no issues while she’s sleeping or at work. I’m loving playing with her other dogs, we run and wrestle, it’s great! They’re fluffy, but not as fluffy as me! My luscious locks are very interesting, it looks like I’m all white from the front, but when I turn around, you see my beautiful red! If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, floof ball, look no further, I’m right here and ready to meet you!
