Story
**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT, YOU MUST LIVE IN BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** Meet Cam – The Resilient Little Lover Boy Cam’s journey hasn’t been easy, but this 6-month-old Chinese Crested is ready for a fresh start, filled with love and care. Cam began life as an outdoor breeder dog on the west coast of Florida, where he and his family survived not one, but two hurricanes. Despite his rough start, this little guy’s heart is wide open for the right home, and he's eager to grow stronger every day. Cam is learning the ropes of potty training, and he’s already showing progress! Right after mealtime is his prime potty time, and he enjoys having someone by his side to cheer him on and ensure he’s getting it just right. His sense of humor will warm your heart! Thanks to proper nutrition, clean water, and a safe environment, Cam is becoming healthier and stronger. He is currently free from any ailments but will need time to rebuild his body. Cam is a "hairy hairless" Chinese Crested, meaning he has some patches of fur, not completely bald. His skin and coat are already showing signs of improvement! Due to his difficult upbringing outdoors, Cam does have some separation anxiety and thrives when he has space to feel safe and secure. A home where someone is around often would be ideal, not only for his comfort but also to help him with his frequent potty breaks as he continues his training. If you’re ready to welcome a special puppy into your life and have the time, patience, and love to offer, please consider giving Cam the forever home he deserves. He may have had a rough start, but his future is as bright as can be – especially if it’s with you!  This dog's adoption fee is $600 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). If you are interested please fill out the adoption application For additional information regarding our adoption process, please check our FAQ's Page.   *All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They don't live in cages or crates (unless there is a medical reason to do so.) They are treated as family pets while in our care. * All dogs in our care are fed premium brand holistic food as well as supplements and vitamins specific to each dog's needs. We don't buy inexpensive bulk dry kibble, our rescues are fed premium wet food diets as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program to ensure maximum health. .*All of our rescues receive complete quality vetting including full dental cleaning with pre-op bloodwork, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs in need of specialized medicine will be seen by specialists, such as full cardiac workups, and ophthalmologist visits, all suspicious lumps, and bumps are biopsied, and every medical need is transparent to potential adopters. *Once you adopt from Get a Life Pet Rescue, you become part of our compassionate family and we are here for you if a problem with your precious dog arises. ##2210132##

Story
**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT, YOU MUST LIVE NEAR BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** Meet Ciara – The Elegant, Resilient Lady Ready for a Fresh Start Ciara is a beautiful and gentle young Chinese Crested who has already faced more challenges than most but she remains a bright and joyful spirit. Rescued from an outdoor breeder, Ciara survived two hurricanes, showing a level of resilience that is nothing short of inspiring. Now on her journey to healing and happiness. Ciara was diagnosed with heartworm disease because she was not on Heartworm Prevention before. Heartworm is a mosquito-borne disease, but with the right care, it is treatable. She has started the recommended protocol and is on the road to a healthy future. If you'd like to learn more about heartworm and it's treatment, The American Heartworm Society is an excellent resource. Her treatment will continue at our Broward County vet over the next few months, and she’ll need a loving home to cheer her on every step of the way. Ciara is looking for a dedicated forever family to support her through her heartworm treatment and beyond. Get A Life Pet Rescue will cover her treatments at our vet. The adopter will administer her medications in her food. Affectionate and undeniably joyful, Ciara has a playful side that will melt your heart. She loves to zoom around the yard, her gentle spirit shining through as she plays like a puppy. As a "hairy hairless" Chinese Crested, she has a unique coat that requires regular skin moisturizer—a treat she absolutely adores! Ciara closes her eyes in bliss during her spa treatments, making it clear that she appreciates the pampering she deserves. Once Ciara reaches her full, healthy weight, she will likely be around 10-12 pounds. This lovely 2-3 year old, girl is ready to leave her past behind and start a new chapter filled with love, security, and joy. If you're searching for a loyal and loving companion who embodies resilience and grace, Ciara could be the perfect match. Are you ready to give Ciara the forever home she deserves? She’s waiting to bring joy, loyalty, and a touch of elegance into your life.  This dog's adoption fee is $600 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). Story
**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT, YOU MUST LIVE IN BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** Meet Chamoy – The Perfect Blend of Love, Fun, and Cuddles! Just like the delightful mix of flavors in her namesake Mexican chili sauce, Chamoy is a chihuahua mix with a beautifully balanced personality. This 4-year-old, 11-pound bundle of joy will greet you with a wagging tail and a heart full of affection. Chamoy’s playful nature shines brightest during her signature “Let’s Play Dance,” where she invites her canine friends to join in the fun. While she thrives with well-balanced dogs, she prefers calmer companions and would rather skip the company of overly hyper or bouncy pups. Chamoy is an ideal fit for an adult home where love and companionship are plentiful. She’s not just a homebody either—Chamoy is a fabulous travel buddy who enjoys car rides, dining out, and running errands by your side. With her small frame, dense muscle tone, and loving spirit, Chamoy is as strong as she is sweet. She’s ready to bring a dash of joy and spice to her forever family. Don't let the white markings on her muzzle fool you, She is young and full of energy. If you’re looking for a loyal and lively companion who will brighten your days, Chamoy is ready to be your perfect partner in fun and love! This dog's adoption fee is $500 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). Story
**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT, YOU MUST LIVE IN BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** Meet Jax Chihuahua – A True Little Fighter Ready to Find His Forever Home! This tiny but mighty sweetheart has had quite the journey. Jax came to us from a vet who initially wasn’t sure he’d survive due to being frail with an open fontanelle (soft spot). Thanks to round-the-clock care and unwavering love from his foster mom—feeding him every two hours—Jax has not only made it but thrived. His fontanelle is now nearly closed, and this spunky pup is eating twice a day and showing off his lively, mischievous personality! Jax is full of energy and curiosity at just 4 months old and 4 pounds. He needs an experienced, dedicated adopter in Palm Beach or Broward Counties who can give him the time, patience, and love required to raise a happy, well-rounded puppy. What Jax Needs in a Forever Home: Someone home often to keep up with his youthful energy and training needs. An adult-only home with another small, compatible dog or someone fully prepared to provide him with the mental and physical stimulation he craves. A commitment to his ongoing care, including neutering and vaccines at our vet in two months (when he turns 6 months old) and we will cover his bill. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this incredible little survivor, Jax is ready to bring you a lifetime of joy, love, and endless puppy antics. Let’s make his next chapter the best one yet!  This dog's adoption fee is $650 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed).
