Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Grindelwald is a handsome mature bachelor guy looking for a female household to spend his golden years with.  He likes other dogs and cats but does not really like kids. He will growl at kids (so he needs an adult-only home) and he barks a high pitched endless bark at most men.  He is toothless. He does not like to be crated and will whine a little in protest.  He enjoys relaxing on the couch and being close to his human.  He is a loving boy that cannot be outside for prolonged periods due to the lack of fur.  He does wear a wrap if he is left for long periods (5+ hours) of time because he cannot hold it.  Please note:   Applicants are preferred to have Chinese Crested experience due to their special care needs.   Caring for a Chinese Crested: Activities of this breed need to be monitored.  Chinese Cresteds are so small and “fine-boned” that they can easily be hurt accidentally when playing. Hairless Chinese Cresteds have smooth, soft skin that needs extra TLC. If your hairless dog spends time in the sun, her skin needs to be protected with dog-safe sunscreen or clothing. You will also need to regularly moisturize their skin to prevent it from drying out and becoming damaged. A warm sweater or coat may be necessary even on mild days.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 5:22 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Knox is such a cutie! He is an approx. 3-year-old, 9 1/2 lb. Chinese Crested mix. He loves playing with other dogs and with toys. He can be very energetic but then knows how to chill. He corrects very easily. He gets along with all dogs, people of all ages, and cats. He wants to play with the resident cat, but the cat has the upper hand on that decision. He is shy at first when meeting new people and dogs, but it doesn't take him long to realize they are his friends. He has fluffy/tufted hair in some areas, and other areas his hair is on the thinner side - characteristics of the Chinese Crested breed. He is a very sweet boy and his favorite thing is being near his people and snuggling.  He is a true cuddle bug that loves lap time, loves to be held and loves sleeping snuggled up next to his person. He will hop when going after a mini tennis ball and sometimes do a little prance. Knox has discovered how fun it is to chase lizards. He is not a fan of going outside in the rain and is scared of the water faucet at bath time, but he is getting much better. Knox rides well in a car but should be tethered to keep him safe. He is house trained, but should go to a home where he can be taken out every few hours and right after he eats. He can be play mouthy so toddlers may not be the best fit for him until he learns. He knows "sit" command, walks well on a leash and loves to go for walks. He is not a big barker. We want his forever home to have a fenced yard where he can run and play and get his energy out with zoomies, a playful young fur sibling (he would be too much energy for a senior dog), and a variety of toys to enjoy. Knox is a "10" on the cuteness and sweetness scale. If you believe you have the perfect home for Knox, and you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area, please complete an app and tell us more about your family. November 3, 2024, 8:42 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Hi, my name is Carla and I’m a Powder Puff Chinese Crested. I am estimated to be between 2-3 years old and I weigh 9 lbs. I used to be part of a breeding program but luckily I was saved along with many of my fur family. Despite being a breeder dog, I love with all my heart anyone who is kind to me. I especially love giving kisses and snuggling. I get along great with other dogs and love playing with my current fur sibling brother. I haven't been around cats and I probably don't even know what they are. I am potty trained and pee pad trained, and am not a big barker. I walk well on a leash and ride well in a car tethered in safely. I adore treats and am a good eater. I would really like a family with another fur child as I love to play and I would also love a fenced yard to run and play in with my fur sibling. I also love toys! Who knew?!? If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Carla, please complete an application and tell us more about your family.November 3, 2024, 8:42 pm
