Story
Meet Katie B! This adorable girl has already come such a long way and continues to make progress every single day. While she may be shy at first, underneath that timid exterior is a sweet dog who truly wants to please and is learning how wonderful life with people can be. Katie B settles down nicely in her kennel or will quietly find a cozy place to relax. She is still learning how to walk on a leash and doesn’t fully understand commands yet, but her house manners are coming along very well. She’s the kind of dog who learns best with patience, consistency, and gentle encouragement. Katie B gets along well with other dogs and has shown no negative reactions to cats. Children should be fine for her as long as they understand to give her space and allow her to come to them on her own terms. She can be nervous about cuddling at first, but she has made incredible progress. Once she settles onto your lap, she relaxes and truly enjoys attention and gentle petting. She does tend to “start over” with new people and needs a little time to feel safe again, but she warms up faster as her confidence grows. Right now, Katie B is still learning how to play and discover what it means to simply be a dog. Watching her progress has been incredibly rewarding, and her little victories make her even more special. She came to us on the higher end of the semi-feral scale, but with patience and love she has already made tremendous strides and is now much more comfortable with people. Katie B will thrive in a calm, low-energy home with a patient, dog-savvy family willing to continue helping her build confidence. The family lucky enough to earn her trust will gain an incredibly rewarding companion and watch a beautiful transformation unfold.

Story
Meet Benny! This handsome guy is full of personality, love, and goofy charm. Benny enjoys life to the fullest and is happiest when he’s spending time with his people, playing with his dog friends, or chasing after a ball. He’s a fun-loving boy with a sweet side that shines once he settles in. Benny is generally a pretty chill dog who settles down nicely after his initial excitement wears off. When meeting new people, he can come in enthusiastic and eager for attention, but after a few minutes he relaxes and turns into a snuggly companion who loves being close to his humans. He’s very loving, attention-driven, and incredibly gentle when taking treats. He walks well using a command collar and enjoys toys, balls, and chasing fast-moving objects. Benny does best with medium to smaller dogs and enjoys having dog friends to play with. Around larger dogs, he can be reactive during first introductions, but once he feels comfortable, he mellows out well. Because cats tend to overstimulate him, he is looking for a cat-free home. Benny would do best in a dog-savvy, lower-energy household that can help him continue learning how to manage excitement and overstimulation. While he’s a wonderful dog, he can occasionally become overstimulated and may need some structure and guidance, something we’re happy to help his future family with. Due to his exuberant personality, he would do best with children over 12 years old at this time. Benny is a cute, loving boy with a huge heart, and for the right family, he’s going to make an incredibly loyal and entertaining companion.

Story
Meet Mimi! This dainty little queen is equal parts sweet, snuggly, and delightfully determined. Mimi is fully potty trained, immediately does her business outside, and has had zero accidents in her foster home. She’s also wonderfully well-mannered, sleeps soundly in her crate when left alone, and has quickly proven herself to be an easy and lovable companion. Mimi can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe and comfortable, she turns into the ultimate cuddle bug. She absolutely adores curling up in a warm lap, snuggling with her people, or cozying up in her crate for a nap. She would thrive in a home where her humans are around often and ready to spoil her with love and attention. This little lady also has quite the personality! Mimi’s favorite “toy” is actually her fluffy bed, which she proudly carries from room to room while carefully fluffing it into the perfect cozy nest. Pillows, blankets, stuffies, even her cat tunnel, nothing is too big or inconvenient for Mimi when she’s on a mission to redecorate! Watching her drag her treasures around the house with total determination is absolutely adorable. Doors, gates, blankets, and oversized toys will not stop this tenacious little sprite. Mimi does beautifully with her foster dog siblings and enjoys exploring the backyard, sniffing all the exciting smells, basking in the sunshine, and occasionally zooming through her cat tunnel before settling back in for more snuggles. She walks happily on a leash, rides beautifully in the car, and would make an excellent little road trip buddy. Though she may look delicate and dainty, Mimi has a confident and spirited side that allows her to hold her own with animal friends while charming every human she meets. She’s the perfect mix of cozy lap dog and adventurous little companion, all wrapped up in one irresistibly cute package.

Story
Ireland is a fun-loving, energetic girl with a big personality and an even bigger love for fetch! She’s always ready for a game and proudly carries her toys around, dropping them at your feet when she’s ready for you to join in. While she may not always want to give the toy back right away, her enthusiasm and playful spirit make it impossible not to smile. She’s the perfect mix of affectionate and independent. Ireland loves being close to her people and often acts like your little shadow, checking in to see what you’re up to before wandering off to investigate the next exciting thing. She’s definitely a mama’s girl and would happily soak up all the lap time for herself if she could! She does well with cats, though she isn’t too thrilled about sharing attention with them. Ireland hasn’t had much direct interaction with other dogs in her foster home, but she does bark when she sees them, so slow and proper introductions will help her feel comfortable. She can also be vocal when meeting new people at first, but once she realizes she’s safe, her sweet and loving personality shines through. She’s both crate-trained and house-trained, and she settles nicely into her crate at night after a few minutes. Ireland is great about letting you know when she needs a potty break. Outside, she’s far more interested in exploring the world around her than playing fetch. Sniffing the grass, inspecting sticks, and keeping an eye on the neighbor dogs are much higher on her priority list! Like any young dog, Ireland is still learning and growing, but she has all the makings of an amazing companion for a somewhat active home. When she’s in play mode, she’s full speed ahead, but once she’s gotten her energy out, she’s more than happy to curl up in her bed or snuggle beside you on the couch for a cozy nap.
