Story
Say hello to MOLLY! Molly is such a doll you can’t help but smile to look at that adorable happy face. This love bug came into the rescue from a hoarder situation. Molly is fully vetted, spayed and 2 to 3 years old. She is in a wonderful foster home with some of her friends from her old place and with a couple of her foster mom’s dogs and doing just wonderful. This sweet loving pup needs a home to call her own that is not overwhelmed and over crowded with other dogs. Such situations lack the time and attention every dog deserves. Molly is going to make an awesome companion for any family. Especially little dog loving families. She is dang near perfect. Personality: Molly is goofy, energetic, and playful! She loves to snuggle up on the end of the couch for long naps. She is soooooo ready to be your new best friend and would love a home where she can grow to be a wonderful life long family friend. Once adopted Molly will travel via the Rescue Transport to her new family. They travel each weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the northeast, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
About Me: Name: Domino Breed (or best guess): Chihuahua mix Approximate Age: 8 yr Gender: Male Approximate Weight: 12 lb Adoption Fee: Reduced Fee $300 Requirements: Patient Adopter Why In Rescue: Owner passed away Profile: Domino has been with Bichon and Little Buddies for over 2 years as we have worked with him to have him become comfortable with humans other than his owner.  When he was surrendered, we were told he is paranoid - and that does fit him.  He gets worried when he has a tag on his collar or when he is wearing a sweater.  He has stranger danger, so isn't going to want to be in a household where people are coming and going a lot or where he is expected to go visiting.  While he has some issues, he is a funny and loving guy to the people he has bonded with.  He will sit excitedly, waiting for one of his chosen ones to kneel down and open his kennel door so he can leap out and give a hug.  It is now time for him to venture out and find a family of his own.  While he lived with other dogs in his previous home, at the shelter there are a number of dogs he doesn't get along with - primarily males, so he may do best as an only dog or a female dog with a slow introduction.  Domino went for a short home visit with a volunteer to see how he would be in a home.  He had issues with other dogs in the house when the foster mom had food.  We are hoping for an only dog home for him to lessen the chance for issues if he decided to try to guard his person or his food.  He did warm up to visitors with some time, but will likely always need a slow introduction.   If you are looking to adopt a dog that really needs you, Domino may be that guy.  He is an athletic little guy who will climb up to the top of his kennel so he can look out and see what is going on.  If you can offer Domino a patient and loving home, please fill out the pre-adoption application and we can discuss more things about him. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $200 - $550 depending on the age of the dog, which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS December 31, 2024, 6:23 pm

Story
Meet Lily! Age: senior Weight: 10 pounds (I'm just an itty bitty!) Good with: adults House trained: I use potty pads, but still have accidents sometimes. I'm working on being the best girl I can! Crate trained: in my foster home I am gated in the kitchen if my foster parents go away. I do love my crate, it is my safe space! Special needs: I can't hear a dang thing from a lifetime of chronic ear infections, and my ticker isn't that great, so I can't have some procedures that are recommended. Let me give you a little back story about how I came into rescue. I was found left alone after my owner passed away. I was very scared and hungry! I'm working on trusting that people want the best for me. Lily is completely deaf, but she doesn't let it get her down! She loves her bed, her person, and food. She loves food so much that she prefers to eat alone. When I bring her meals, she does a little dance and twirl before I put it down. She co exists well with all the dogs in the house, big and small. She gets a little bossy with the cats when it's close to meal times, but other than that she gets along with them. When it's warm enough out she loves to sniff around the yard with the other dogs, and she loves warm weather walkies. She takes a bit to warm up, but once she does she's a pleasant little companion. She even likes to play! She'll whip around a toy and even chase it if you toss it. When I tuck her into bed at night she likes to play with me with the blanket before she settles down in her little blanket nest (the very best place for a little girl to sleep!) She's a spunky little girl for sure! She uses pee pads most of the time, especially when it's cold out. Lily is on 2 different kinds of medications for her 6/6 heart murmur.. Because of this she gets winded very quickly when she plays or exerts herself in any other way. With enough time to settle and slow intros, she is a spunky and loving little cutie! No small children, as she does not like to be touched unless she really knows you. *Lily is being fostered in New Glarus, WI. Story
His name is Beans and he is 6 years old. He is house trained and will go potty without a leash. He is very scary and timid. He doesn't like kids or loud noises. He spends most of his time napping. He's not a cuddler and he doesn't like to be dressed up either . He's very laid back and hardly ever barks. I've had him for 2 years now I adopted him from Madacc. Trying to find a nice quiet home for him because of my small grandkids is a bit much for him.
