Story
This little 9# cutie is Dakota-he is around 6 years old. Gets along fine with dogs, but does not like them to get in his face, he sort of just stays to himself. Likes women a lot but does not trust men until he gets to know them real well. Likes children that are calmer and even smaller ones. Heartworm negative and neutered. Crates really well and sleeps all night. It is his safe quiet place so will go there on his own when he wants. He is being fed wet food mixed with dry, will not just eat dry since his previous owner fed him table food. He is a sweet little lap dog for someone who likes to sit with you and also lay on the back of my couch and nap. Walks well on a leash and does fine with car rides. Will go for walks and ride in a doggie stroller. Great for baths, grooming and nails also. Gave me kisses the entire time. He is now ready to find his very own furever family. An online application can be found at SandiPaws.org for this cutieThank you for your interest in a Sandi Paws Rescue, Inc. Story
I was found as a stray, wandering the open roads when some nice people found me and brought me to the shelter. I am a small, friendly dude and like everyone at the shelter including other dogs and humans, just no cats please!! They think I am potty trained and lived in a home at some point. I do have a ‘cherry eye’ which is where my eyelid is slight enlarged, but the vet said it doesn’t bother me and would only need to be fixed for cosmetic reasons. I am a chill dude and love to take naps. am a good boy and would like to find a forever home of my own! Can you help me? We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is a summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. My name is Thor and I like big mutts and can not lie! For a little chi I've loved everyone i meet big and small. I can be a tad nervous of people but they turn out pretty cool after I know they don't hurt me. Kids are fun but they are scary when they constantly try to pick me up. I got 4 legs I can walk! I'd enjoy a home with or without friends, cats or dogs but as far as humans go older than 8 please! I'm a good boy in my kennel thus far and not to shabby on leash!December 23, 2024, 11:46 am

Bio: Meet Zeus! He made his way up from Texas after his caregiver of 10 years had to move into a rehab home after an injury. He lived with other small dogs and has done great in his foster home meeting the new small dogs. Despite being from Texas, he will go outside in the snow. He just doesn’t understand quite yet that going outside right now is to go to relieve himself. He does wear a belly band inside as he will lift his leg on things. He is so sweet and can jump on the couch with little effort to snuggle and give you kisses. He hasn’t met any kids or cats in his foster home. He enjoys being held and sitting on your lap. He will also follow you around the house and promise to be your 8lbs little shadow. Our Pack Animal Rescue,  Inc. Is an all foster based rescue. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. Preapproval applications for future adoption are welcome.January 4, 2025, 9:19 pm

Story
Name: Paul *Blind* Age: 12 years Breed: chi mix Gender: male Weight: 12 lbs Good with kids: yes Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: yes Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: Yes Foster location: Green Bay, Wi Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Adoption fee: SPONSORED Adoption includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Bio: Check out this handsomely hued little senior! Paul is estimated to be 12 years old, and was a last minute save from the euth list at a shelter in a neighboring state. We are so glad this spunky dude got to join us! Though Paul is blind he can find you if you make kissy noises or call him, and boy is he excited when he does! He will try to jump onto you, though he isn’t one for getting on furniture. He has learned to navigate the couple deck stairs, but any flights of stairs in his forever home should be gated for safety. Paul enjoys exploring the fenced yard, but does well on a leash as well. He does have bumps on his chest that were deemed fatty lumps, so we do try to avoid holding onto that area when we pick him up. Thats right- no issues with being picked up, having his nails cut, or taking a bath. This sweetie has kisses to offer! He is dog friendly but has been grumbled at a few times upon running into another dog- so he will occasionally grumble if one approaches him. Paul has no trouble finding the water dish, or a cozy bed. While Paul will go potty when outside, he is rocking a belly band as he will have some accidents in the house. This does also occur with #2s at times. Its important to head outdoors when he wakes up, or exits his kennel. He needs help getting into the kennel, but is happy to relax once inside. Paul has only ever let out three individual barks while in our care, but will let out adorable exaggerated yawns. Paul is an incredibly loving guy who deserves the world!
