Story
Meet Lily!
Age: senior
Weight: 10 pounds (I'm just an itty bitty!)
Good with: adults
House trained: I use potty pads, but still have accidents sometimes. I'm working on being the best girl I can!
Crate trained: in my foster home I am gated in the kitchen if my foster parents go away. I do love my crate, it is my safe space!
Special needs: I can't hear a dang thing from a lifetime of chronic ear infections, and my ticker isn't that great, so I can't have some procedures that are recommended.
Let me give you a little back story about how I came into rescue. I was found left alone after my owner passed away. I was very scared and hungry! I'm working on trusting that people want the best for me.
Lily is completely deaf, but she doesn't let it get her down! She loves her bed, her person, and food. She loves food so much that she prefers to eat alone. When I bring her meals, she does a little dance and twirl before I put it down. She co exists well with all the dogs in the house, big and small. She gets a little bossy with the cats when it's close to meal times, but other than that she gets along with them. When it's warm enough out she loves to sniff around the yard with the other dogs, and she loves warm weather walkies. She takes a bit to warm up, but once she does she's a pleasant little companion. She even likes to play! She'll whip around a toy and even chase it if you toss it. When I tuck her into bed at night she likes to play with me with the blanket before she settles down in her little blanket nest (the very best place for a little girl to sleep!) She's a spunky little girl for sure! She uses pee pads most of the time, especially when it's cold out. Lily is on 2 different kinds of medications for her 6/6 heart murmur.. Because of this she gets winded very quickly when she plays or exerts herself in any other way. With enough time to settle and slow intros, she is a spunky and loving little cutie!
No small children, as she does not like to be touched unless she really knows you.
*Lily is being fostered in New Glarus, WI.
