Story
RJ is a playful, enthusiastic guy with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! He's a sucker for food and will charm you with his puppy-dog eyes while you're cooking. RJ loves his stuffies, tennis balls, and zooming around the yard, making him a great fit for an active family. RJ has been making great progress! He’s gaining confidence and learning to enjoy some independence—he’s even started curling up on the couch for some relaxation time. He sleeps soundly in his crate without a peep and is starting to get the hang of leash walking, though he can get a little distracted by all the exciting sounds outside (birds, car noises, wind chimes—you name it!). He LOVES his walks but isn’t quite used to the Wisconsin chill yet. RJ is playful and affectionate, but he’s still working on his manners around cats. He’s getting better, but fast movements from feline friends can sometimes spark his playful side a little too much—so a cat-free home would probably be best for now. RJ would thrive in a home with older kids who can match his playful energy and give him the love he craves. He’s crate-trained, sleeps through the night, and has excellent house manners—no barking or destructive behavior here! If you're looking for a loyal companion who’s equal parts playful and affectionate, RJ might just be your perfect match!

Story
Meet Scrappy! This little guy may be shy at first, but once he warms up to you, he's all about quiet companionship. When he's by himself, Scrappy is as low-key as they come-curled up in his blankets, snoozing the day away. But when you walk into the room, get ready for a sweet welcome! If he knows you well enough, he'll get excited and might even treat you to his signature squealing "siren" noise. Scrappy is great on a leash, comfortable in his crate, and follows you around the house like a little shadow. He loves sitting on your lap or cuddling next to you on the couch. Though he's shy around new people, just quietly keeps his distance until he feels comfortable. Once he does, you'll find him asking for pets and even rubbing his face on you when you're sitting down! A quiet, relaxed home would be perfect for Scrappy-maybe someone who works from home or an older person who enjoys a calm companion. He's not much of a toy player, but he enjoys the occasional walk and really perks up when it's time for his wet food-cue the adorable "Chihuahua yell"! He may need a bit of patience as he settles in, but with time, Scrappy will become your loyal, affectionate lap buddy.

Story
Meet Dillinger – aka Dilly or Dilly Bean! Dilly is a sweet, shy pup who’s learning to trust the world, and he’s come a long way! The key to his heart? Treats! Offer him a tasty snack, and he’ll be your best friend in no time. Dilly thrives in a calm, adult-only home where he can settle in at his own pace. He’s great with other dogs but prefers to have his own space during mealtime. He’s also good with cats. He's not the biggest fan of a crate but peacefully snoozes in the spare room at night. This lovable guy is still figuring out leash walking but is making great progress. While he can be a little skittish at first, once he warms up, he shows his goofy, affectionate side—full-body wiggles, happy requests for pets, and the cutest underbite that will melt your heart. Dilly loves toys, especially rubber bones, and can entertain himself for hours. He’s fully potty-pad trained and is making great strides with outdoor potty training, especially when treats are involved! Dilly would love a patient home where he can continue to build confidence, a fenced in yard would be a bonus as the leash is still a work in progress. A confident dog sibling to help him feel secure (just be sure to feed them separately) Dilly may not know commands yet, but he responds to his name and is eager to please. With love, patience, and a few treats, this sweet boy will flourish into the perfect companion. Could you be the one to give Dilly his happily ever after?

Story
Peetee is a sweet boy with a big heart, once he learns to trust you. When he’s in his crate, he settles in quickly—curling up under the blankets and falling asleep. He’s completely quiet through the night and is fully potty trained! Peetee can be a little shy at first, especially when meeting new people while being held—he tends to get a bit protective. But if he’s on a leash, he feels more secure and listens better. He’s very good in his crate and will often tuck himself under a blanket for a cozy nap. Once Peetee feels comfortable, his playful side comes out! He loves squeaky toys and gets a kick out of you tossing them in the air so he can play keep-away or tug-of-war. He’s also a big fan of wrestling and will happily engage in a fun game with you. Peetee has a funny habit of playing with his food or treats—he’ll toss them in the air, roll on them, then pick them up and start all over again. It’s ridiculously cute! Peetee is a loyal and loving little guy, but he definitely likes to do things his own way. He enjoys chasing squirrels in the yard and barking at other dogs—though if they bark back, he’s quick to retreat indoors. His favorite place is under a blanket, whether it’s on your lap or curled up in a cozy spot. Sometimes it’s hard to find him because he’s so tucked in, so future adopters should always check before sitting down! He would do best in a quieter home without too much hustle and bustle. He’ll likely bond closely with one person, and once you’re his person, you’ll know it. His signature move? Sitting back on his hind legs and crossing one front paw over the other—it’s adorable! Peetee might need a little time to warm up, but once he does, he’ll be a loving and playful companion. He’s ready to find a safe place where he can relax, play with his toys, and nap under all the blankets. Could you be Peetee’s person? ❤️
