Magpie (Maggie) is a 12lb, 1yo chihuahua/terrier mix. She was a breeder surrender. She's happy, friendly, playful & quiet. She likes people, but it takes her a few days to love you. Pumpkin is a 5-month-old, 4-pound Chi mix. Sweet pumpkin loves to cuddle & loves teething toys! She is working on potty training as she is still a puppy. With unique coloring and a sweet disposition, little Jockey will bring joy to your entire household. He is a two-year-old male Chihuahua whose tail seems to be wagging a mile a minute. He enjoys playing with our other small dogs and running around the backyard. He is an intelligent pup who is being potty trained and is doing well. It's not as catchy, but we think you'll agree he's pretty great, and definitely NOT meaner than a junkyard dog. This delightful young pup is about 8 months old and should weigh about 20 lbs when he's done growing. Leroy is crate trained and working hard at remembering we go potty outside! He loves running around in his yard and going on long walks. He has a great time playing with dogs and would love to have a dog friend to live with. Hello World I’m Maya! I am a very cute and gangly 2-yr old chihuahua mix. My foster mom describes me as the life of the party. My list of things I love is long including other dogs, toys, snacks, cuddles and most of all my family. I'm mostly house and crate trained and I try really really hard to be a well-behaved little girl and follow directions but sometimes I get so excited to be alive that I forget a silly rule here and there. Dogs from commercial breeders are generally undersocialized (often very scared/shy/skittish) and probably never lived in a house.  They will need to learn things like how to walk on a leash, go up stairs, and what things like a television are.  They need a patient adopter who will give them the time they need to adjust and to learn to trust people.  Every baby step forward needs to be celebrated, and the dog needs to be accepted for who they are at each step.  Some dogs can adjust quickly and learn how to be a loved pet pretty easily.  Others can take a long time to even be comfortable with things like walking through the house and being in the same room as a person.  No matter how far and how fast the breeder dogs progress, they are wonderful dogs and deserve a great home after their life on the puppy farm.  A fence or at least a secure fenced in potty area is highly recommended for the dog's safety, and may be required for some dogs.  Another small dog in the house can also help many former breeders adjust faster to life in a home, and also may be required in some cases.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. Max Needs Compassionate, Seizure Experienced Owner Max is a year old, we believe CHIH Min Pin Mix, although Paperwork says Doxie Pom mix, weighing between 10 and 15 pounds who came to Tiny Paws as Owner Surrender. Immediately Foster witnessed severe seizures which Video is too painful to watch. Was he born this way, was he injured at Owner’s Home, we have no idea? We do know Max is a very loving pup and gets along fine with other Dogs but must not have over zealous companion. His gait is compromised although he gets around well. Concerned Winter weather will be challenging but Foster puppy pad trained him. Could be perfect Apartment dog but must be able to carry him if steps involved.
