Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 11/24/24 Litter Name: You & Me Estimated Date of Birth: July 14th - July 21st Dog Name: Carter Sex: Female Spay Status: Not yer spayed Estimated Breed Mix: Chihuahua Approximate Weight: 5-8 lbs Adoption Fee: $550   Description: Carter and her brother Cash were desperately in need of a plan so that they wouldn’t end up in a high kill Texas shelter. They are sweet pups who will stay small in size, they love to be cuddled and follow their people around the house. They will make great companions!   This litter should stay 25lbs and under.  We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are 6 months to 1 year or age. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.  at one of our preferred clinics. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. November 24, 2024, 5:43 pm

Roxy found herself in a high kill Texas shelter, she is the sweetest little girl with a fun personality. She is very friendly with other dogs and cats. She love people and will even play dress up and pose for pictures! She’s the definition of a lap dog! FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Meet Checkers! This little guy was found as a stray in a rural Texas town, but he’s ready to trade the streets for a cozy lap! He has adorably unique black-and-white markings (hence the name!) and a heart that just wants to curl up on your lap. He’s great with people, loves a good cuddle, and can’t wait to meet his forever family! Story
Hi! I'm Maya and am guessed to be a very cute 2-yr old chihuahua mix. I am a very happy go-lucky girl that loves fetch, soft squeaky toys, food and naps near your lap. I'm house and crate trained and haven't barked much while in my foster home. I am very shy when you first meet me, but within a day or two you won't be able to get me to leave your side. Once I'm comfortable with you I am a social butterfly, however I am not very fond of public places and events where it is loud or busy since I startle easily and would try to run away! I haven't met a cat yet but absolutely would love another dog in the home that also likes to play as much as I do! My foster mom says I'm annoyingly happy and I always put a smile on her face. If you give me a day or two to get to know you, I will give you a lifetime of love. Rey of Hope Rescue is a locally based dog & cat rescue in Milwaukee serving all of SE Wisconsin. We are passionate about helping you find the best pet match for your home. WI License # DS-536355

Story
We've all heard the song Bad Bad Leroy Brown. It's probably playing in your head now (sorry!). Well, we are here to introduce Small, Small Leroy Brown. It's not as catchy, but we think you'll agree he's pretty great, and definitely NOT meaner than a junkyard dog. This delightful young pup is about 8 months old and should weigh about 20 lbs when he's done growing. Leroy is crate trained and working hard at remembering we go potty outside! He loves running around in his yard and going on long walks. He has a great time playing with dogs and would love to have a dog friend to live with. Leroy's perfect family will have lots of energy to keep up with his puppy parties, have lots of toys and bones to play with and no small children. If you're looking for a wonderful small dog to take on adventures and cuddle on the couch while binge watching your favorite movies, look no farther, Leroy is your guy. Apply today!
