Story
Male Chihuahua, mixed.Approximately 1 to 2 years old, and very healthy. Neutered, micro chipped, shots, all done on 7-29-25. I rescued him, he's 15 lbs. and not a picky eater. I can include a plastic pet taxi crate, if you want it.He does ok with being in his crate in a car, but doesn't like being in a crate when at home.He loves to be with someone and he will love to be near you.He can be left alone. He loves to snuggle, and lay on your shoulders. He has been ok with meeting dogs, but you just need to gradually introduce them.Hasn't been around cats, so don't know if he would do ok around them. He probably would do better with an adult, quieter, low stress home setting. Also access to a yard where he could get exercise. He is a sweet little guy, and will sleep with you, or alone.

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! Updated: 5/7/26 Dog Name: Plum Sex: Female Estimated Breed: Chihuahua Mix Birthdate: 3/22/2026 Litter Name: Fruits Litter Approximate Weight: 4.5 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Not yet (too young) Adoption Fee: $550 Description: Plum, her sister Cherry, and mother Peaches came up from Texas in April. Apricot is believed to be Peaches sister, and she had two puppies Nectarine and Mango that all made the trip to WI too!  For it to be safe for her to go home with an adopter, she needs to stay where she is until 5/24 when she gets her second DHPP vaccination. After the 24th, she's free to go into the home of her future family to start her 5-day trial! Plum is an outgoing pup! She loves to play, people, other dogs, and is very interested in her toys!!     We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. May 13, 2026, 8:07 pm
