Concerned Winter weather will be challenging but Foster puppy pad trained him. Could be perfect Apartment dog but must be able to carry him if steps involved. Story
Breed: Chihuahua Color: Tan Age: 8 month young Size: Small Weight: 8 lbs Sex: Male Meet Pepe! Pepe is an adorable 8-month-old Chihuahua seeking his forever home! Pepe is very shy and skittish, he will need lots of love and patience to help him feel safe and get his playful personality to blossom. Pepe gets along with dogs (with proper introductions), older kids, and cats, and loves playtime with his foster sibling. He is currently learning to walk on a leash and again he will need time and patience to truly feel comfortable enough to walk confidently, but we know he will do it with the right person and encouragement. Pepe is potty trained and finds comfort in his crate, though his favorite thing is to cuddle close to your face. He is a silly boy for sure! We do recommended you provide him with a dedicated space initially to help him settle in and feel secure as the adoption process can be overwhelming for these little guys. Pepe loves cuddles and yummy treats. He is a charming little guy, and he will make a wonderful addition to any loving home. To meet Pepe please complete an application through Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue. Adoption fee of $650 required. He is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Story
Meet Eddie! He is a typical Chihuahua who loves his person but is weary of others. He's a sweet and funny guy. He does well with foster mom and is coming around to the other household members.  Because of his nervous nature, something that is being worked on with him, dog savvy children over 10 are required. Also, Eddie will need a dog savvy adult who is confident, calm , and patient and who understands "small dog syndrome " so he can continue his rehab. We are confident that with the right family Eddie will grow to be a wonderful dog.  Animal is Fostered in: Milwaukee  For more information, or to apply for adoption, visit our website at: www.RescueOutreach.com Please note the following will be performed on all animals prior to adoption: Microchip Spay/Neuter (unless medically unable at time of adoption, in which case this will be discussed) Heartworm Testing (dogs);    FELV/FIV Testing (cats) Age appropriate CORE vaccines.  Dhpp, Rabies (if old enough)-dog;  CVR, Rabies (if old enough) - cat  - WE DO NOT ADMINISTER BORDETELLA unless indicated.   PLEASE NOTE- puppies and kittens may need to complete vaccination schedule depending on age at time of adoption.   Dewormed All breeds are best guess from veterinarian based on physical exam.  All animals come from high kill shelters with poor access to resources.  Once they arrive to our rescue they are quarantined for health purposes and spoiled in loving foster homes until their forever home is found!  Our organization is operated 100% by volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts.   ##2059372##

Story
About Me: Name: Domino Breed (or best guess): Chihuahua mix Approximate Age: 8 yr Gender: Male Approximate Weight: 12 lb Adoption Fee: Reduced Fee $300 Requirements: Patient Adopter Why In Rescue: Owner passed away Profile: Domino has been with Bichon and Little Buddies for over 2 years as we have worked with him to have him become comfortable with humans other than his owner.  When he was surrendered, we were told he is paranoid - and that does fit him.  He gets worried when he has a tag on his collar or when he is wearing a sweater.  He has stranger danger, so isn't going to want to be in a household where people are coming and going a lot or where he is expected to go visiting.  While he has some issues, he is a funny and loving guy to the people he has bonded with.  He will sit excitedly, waiting for one of his chosen ones to kneel down and open his kennel door so he can leap out and give a hug.  It is now time for him to venture out and find a family of his own.  While he lived with other dogs in his previous home, at the shelter there are a number of dogs he doesn't get along with - primarily males, so he may do best as an only dog or a female dog with a slow introduction.  Domino went for a short home visit with a volunteer to see how he would be in a home.  He had issues with other dogs in the house when the foster mom had food.  We are hoping for an only dog home for him to lessen the chance for issues if he decided to try to guard his person or his food.  He did warm up to visitors with some time, but will likely always need a slow introduction.   If you are looking to adopt a dog that really needs you, Domino may be that guy.  He is an athletic little guy who will climb up to the top of his kennel so he can look out and see what is going on.  If you can offer Domino a patient and loving home, please fill out the pre-adoption application and we can discuss more things about him. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $200 - $550 depending on the age of the dog, which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS November 5, 2024, 8:05 pm

Story
About Me: Name: Rambo, Rooney, Brandy Breed (or best guess): Chihuahua mixes possibly Jack Russel terrier Approximate Age: 9 Weeks  Gender: male Approximate Weight: 4-6 lbs  Adoption Fee: $650 Requirements: Patient adopter, who is willing to train and potty train a new puppy Why In Rescue: breeder surrender/ puppy mill Profile:   These three came from a commercial breeder/puppy farmer who  was not able to sell him to a broker or pet store.  They are very sweet and cuddly but a little shy too. Dogs from commercial breeders are generally undersocialized (often very scared/shy/skittish) and probably never lived in a house.  They will need to learn things like how to walk on a leash, go up stairs, and what things like a television are.  They need a patient adopter who will give them the time they need to adjust and to learn to trust people.  Every baby step forward needs to be celebrated, and the dog needs to be accepted for who they are at each step.  Some dogs can adjust quickly and learn how to be a loved pet pretty easily.  Others can take a long time to even be comfortable with things like walking through the house and being in the same room as a person.  No matter how far and how fast the breeder dogs progress, they are wonderful dogs and deserve a great home after their life on the puppy farm.  A fence or at least a secure fenced in potty area is highly recommended for the dog's safety, and may be required for some dogs.  Another small dog in the house can also help many former breeders adjust faster to life in a home, and also may be required in some cases.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If considering adopting a former breeding dog, the following article is good to read to help you understand the special needs these dogs may have.  http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/mill-survivors.html If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax. The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS November 21, 2024, 1:08 pm

Story
Meet Tildy, a charmingly stubborn senior citizen looking for somewhere special to live out her golden years. Tildy`s goal in life is to be warm and comfortable at all times. As a hairless breed, she needs extra care to keep her warm and keep her skin healthy and potential adopters should familiarize themselves with caring for a Chinese Crested before meeting her. Food is Tildy`s favorite thing in the entire world. She came to the rescue overweight and isn`t too pleased about being on a diet, but is down to a much healthier 15 lbs. Tildy does just fine in her crate when foster mom leaves and is happy to just chill in a soft bed all day while foster mom is home. Although she was likely potty trained at one point, she`s reached an age where she no longer cares and is looking for a family that`s ok with putting out a potty pad for her to use between trips outside. If you`re looking for a sweet little companion that will snuggle up and give you the best `please give me your food` eyes in the world, Tildy might be your gal.You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about Tildy on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet her today!!Adoption fee: $250All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. Story
** Apartments NOT recommended **Meet Ruby, a 20 lb Pomeranian mix with the absolute softest fur and an adorable face that looks perpetually concerned (which she might actually be). While it takes her a while to warm up, once she does she`s not afraid to demand pets and snuggle up with her person. She`s working hard on potty training but keeps her crate clean and goes in when asked. She`s dog friendly and loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home, but could also be an only dog. Because she has a lot to say about being separated from her people, apartments are not recommended. If you`re willing to give her the time and patience she needs to get comfortable, she`ll be the sweetest little best friend to you. Meet Ricardo, a 20 lb Pomeranian mix with the most delightful ears, softest fur, and wiggliest body. This boy is so happy and full of life! He immediately full-body wiggles his way into the hearts of everyone he meets, is dog friendly, loves his crate, and is just a delight to be around.
