Hi there! I`m Katrina, a playful and affectionate four-year-old chihuahua mix. When I first arrived at the shelter, I was pretty scared and took some time to warm up to everyone, but now I love making new friends! I’ve had a few accidents in my previous home, especially if I`m left alone for too long, but hey, I`m learning. Dogs larger than me are scary, and I like to chase cats, so I need a home without those types of pets. I enjoy meeting other small dogs—just give us some time to get to know each other first! I can be a bit protective of my food, so it’s best to separate us during mealtime. Otherwise, I`m a shining star and with love, warmth and patience I know we`ll be best friends (especially if you have some yummy soft treats!). Come meet me today! Medical history: I`m on a bit of medication here at the shelter to help with my anxiety, but otherwise I`m a healthy gal. I can`t wait to meet my new vet to help keep me healthy! Lyla is a very gentle and quiet girl. Although she does play with the other dogs in the house at times she perfers to cuddle up with her people. She rarely barks even with the others are barking. Lyla has shown she can mother the younger pups of the group with patience.  This beautiful girl is house and kennel trained. She likes to sleep with her poeople at night and does not get up unless the others do. In her foster home they do have late night/early hour potty times.  Lyla is utd on shots and spayed. Benjie is a pistol of boy, he is approximately four months old (8/24) and is full of energy. He is outgoing and very playful, Benji will even clean the yard for you. His coloring seems unique to his foster parents who have taught him how to use steps and roll over for belly rubs.  Benjie is doing great on his potty training and does not like to be in a kennel (will bark). He is great at alerting you when people are at the door. He sleep with his foster parents on his back and his foster siblings.  Benjie will need to be spayed at about 6 mos, he is utd on shots and will be microchipped prior to adoption.  ##2183035##

Best guess is that Colt is a chihuahua mix!  Mom is a chihuahua mix, dad is unknown. Colt needs his humans to feel safe and confident. He would do best in a home that has a lap to snuggle and lots of time to spend with him. Colt loves to talk when he is excited and wants your attention. Apartments or homes requiring noise control may not be suitable.  He is crate trained overnight and when away.  He will greet you with lots to say when you return home.  He is working on housetraining.  Colt is being fostered in the Madison, WI area.
