Story
Meet Scrappy! This little guy may be shy at first, but once he warms up to you, he's all about quiet companionship. When he's by himself, Scrappy is as low-key as they come-curled up in his blankets, snoozing the day away. But when you walk into the room, get ready for a sweet welcome! If he knows you well enough, he'll get excited and might even treat you to his signature squealing "siren" noise. Scrappy is great on a leash, comfortable in his crate, and follows you around the house like a little shadow. He loves sitting on your lap or cuddling next to you on the couch. Though he's shy around new people, just quietly keeps his distance until he feels comfortable. Once he does, you'll find him asking for pets and even rubbing his face on you when you're sitting down! A quiet, relaxed home would be perfect for Scrappy-maybe someone who works from home or an older person who enjoys a calm companion. He's not much of a toy player, but he enjoys the occasional walk and really perks up when it's time for his wet food-cue the adorable "Chihuahua yell"! He may need a bit of patience as he settles in, but with time, Scrappy will become your loyal, affectionate lap buddy.

Meet Luna! This adorable bundle of puppy love is as sweet as they come! Luna’s favorite things in the world? Cuddles, playtime, and being wherever you are—she’s your little shadow. She’s got a knack for melting hearts with her charming antics and oh-so-snuggly personality. When she’s not busy being your cuddle buddy, Luna’s all about showing off her zoomies, zipping around like a tiny tornado of joy. Her excitement is contagious, especially when her whole body wiggles with happiness—it’s like she just can’t contain how much she loves life (and you!). Toys? Yes, please! Luna’s a big fan. Being alone in her crate? Eh, not her favorite, but she’s learning to settle down after a bit. She’s got that classic puppy energy, sprinkled with a dash of wonderful mischief to keep things interesting. Her ultimate dream? A cozy lap to curl up in after a day of fun and games. If you’re ready for a snuggle-loving, wiggle-powered pup who’ll keep you smiling all day long, Luna is ready to be your best friend forever!

Story
Wanda is a 6-pound bundle of sweetness who’s ready to steal your heart and maybe your spot on the couch. This quiet and cuddly girl is the ultimate companion, always sticking close to her favorite human. If you’re wondering where she is, just turn around—she’s probably right there! Wanda adores her kennel, seeing it as her safe haven for naps and snuggle time. She’s already showing how clever she is by mastering the art of potty time (complete with treat-worthy results!). While she’s still working on her leash skills, she’s a quick learner and eager to please. Big dogs, little dogs, young dogs, or senior canines—Wanda gets along with them all. She’s also done well with older teens, proving she’s adaptable and oh-so-easy to love. While she’s cautious when meeting new faces, it doesn’t take long for her to warm up and show her snuggly side. Wanda’s zoomies are short but sweet, offering just a hint of her playful personality. She hasn’t quite discovered the joy of toys yet, but she loves cuddling with her stuffed animals in her kennel. At night, she’ll happily curl up next to you, proving she’s the ultimate snuggle queen. Quiet, cute, and packed with charm, Wanda is ready to follow you wherever life takes you. Are you ready for this little shadow to brighten your days? 🐾💕

Story
Roadie is a happy-go-lucky, affectionate pup who’s all about his people! Whether he’s snuggling on your lap or tagging along on an outdoor adventure, he’s the perfect combination of cuddle bug and explorer. Here’s what you need to know about this lovable guy: - Lap Dog Goals: At just the right size, Roadie is a champion snuggler who adores being carried or curled up on your lap. (Though he doesn’t mind some solo time—his favorite spot is a cozy bench by the window, perfect for people-watching!) - Outdoor Enthusiast: Roadie loves heading outside for walks and exploring, though he’s not a fan of cold weather. Once he’s decked out in some winter gear, he’ll be ready to tackle snowy adventures in style. - Social Butterfly: He’s a people person through and through! Roadie loves everyone he meets and greets them with confidence, affection, and his signature charm. Pet Compatibility: - Roadie’s foster sibling, a 50-lb English Bulldog, is his chill buddy. They coexist peacefully in the house, doing their own thing. - Cats? Well, Roadie’s still figuring them out. He’s intimidated (cue dramatic barking and "help, the cat moved" cries), but with patience, he could adjust to a feline friend. Training & Personality: - Roadie knows “sit” and is working on leash manners. He’s not a fan of the crate at first, but he settles after a bit. - He’s easygoing, extremely affectionate, and loves being the center of attention. If there’s a lap available, he’ll claim it—though he might need a reminder to share if another dog wants in on the cuddles. Roadie’s perfect family would have lots of time to spend with him, as he thrives on being close to his humans. He’d also love to join you on adventures—think camping trips and outings where he can soak up the sights, sounds, and (of course) snuggles. Friendly, happy, and full of love, Roadie is ready to be your best friend. If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly, people-focused pup, Roadie can’t wait to meet you! 💕

Story
Are you ready to meet the most affectionate, people-loving, tail-wagging bundle of joy? Introducing Betsy who is here to steal your heart (and maybe sneak a few kisses while she’s at it)! Betsy is a pro when it comes to kids—she’s been living her best life with 13- and 10-year-olds, showering them with kisses and playing like it’s her full-time job. She loves to engage in playful romps with other dogs, too, and her happy-go-lucky attitude makes her a friend to all. Fetch? Oh, she’s a champ! Betsy’s favorite game is fetch, and she’s excellent at bringing back small squeaky stuffed animals for you to throw again (and again…and again—she’s got stamina!). After some playtime, she’s all about cozy naps on the comfiest bed she can find. But let’s talk about Betsy’s signature move: kisses. The moment you’re within reach, Betsy’s mission is clear—let the love commence! Her foster home jokingly says, *“Betsy, get that licker under control!”* because she just can’t resist showing her affection. Her motto? “Wherever the people are, that’s where I want to be!” Betsy dreams of being part of your world—snuggling up, showering you with kisses, and making sure you feel oh-so-loved. Betsy adores kids, adults, dogs, and anyone lucky enough to meet her. She’s the kind of dog who makes you feel like the most important person in the world from day one. If you’re ready for a fetch-playing, cuddle-loving, kiss-giving superstar, Betsy is your girl. Get ready for endless love and laughter—she’ll make sure you never doubt how much you’re adored. Lover. Kisser. Happy soul. Betsy’s waiting to meet you!

Story
Hello there, my name is Louie (formally Mr. Jingles). Due to my new owners facing a housing situation I am once again looking for my forever home.i am a 8 and a half year young Chihuahua mix. I do have a seizure disorder that I have been recently diagnosed with, but is easily controlled with my 3x a day medication. The medication costs $12 a month. I do also get carsick, but I am good with short rides and love sitting on someone’s lap when in and out of vehicles. I am ok with other pets, but I prefer to be the only four legged member of the family. I love everyone that I meet and I love to play! I play with my toys, I can play tug, keep away, and fetch. I also like to go out on walks with my humans too. I love to be with my humans and take naps on your lap, and sleep all night in your bed. I am potty trained and will let you know when I need to go outside. I will go to my kennel when needed as well. I would love to keep someone company that is home a lot and be your little man. Can I be your Prince Louie?

Name: Nacho Age: 5 years Breed: chihuahua mix Guesstimated Weight: 16-18 lbs Good with dogs?: yes, but needs a safe space until he is comfortable around other dogs. He is not mean, just scared. Good with kids?: very timid around kids and hides or runs away from them. (Not aggressive at all) He would do well with older/respectful children. Good with cats: yes Crate trained?: yes Leash trained?: He did OK on the leash for his new fosters House Trained?: Yes. Has not shown any destruction. He knows how to use a dog door and enjoys spending time outdoors. Current on all vaccines?: yes Spayed/neutered?: yes Heartworm Tested?: yes Bio: Nacho will take a few days to come out of his shell. He does not trust humans in the beginning. He flinches when the humans pet him. He will only allow the petting when he is relaxing in his crate, but does not appear to find it comforting. He has never snapped at the humans. We are still working very hard to gain his trust and he makes improvements every day. He does not appear to be dog food/treat motivated, but he LOVES Vienna sausages. He would pair great with a confident dog November 5, 2024, 7:24 pm

Story
Shela is a spunky 12 year old chihuahua mix whose owner passed away. This girl loves her people so much she doesn't care to share her home with other dogs. Shela isn't threated by cats and pretty much ignores them. This special girl had to have a bilateral teacbo surgery It is a procedure that removes both inner ear canals due to heavy infection and being polyped shut. Shela is now deaf but that doesn't slow her down. She gets around and despite knowing she can not hear we swear at times it like she can. She's incredibly intune with her surroundings. Shela gets excited and has the most adorable zoomies , appears to be pretty much potty trained and does well in a kennel.November 5, 2024, 7:24 pm

Bio: Check out this handsomely hued little senior! Paul is estimated to be 12 years old, and was a last minute save from the euth list at a shelter in a neighboring state. We are so glad this spunky dude got to join us! P. Though Paul is blind he can find you if you make kissy noises or call him, and boy is he excited when he does! He will try to jump onto you, though he isn’t one for getting on furniture. He has learned to navigate the couple deck stairs, but any flights of stairs in his forever home should be gated for safety. Paul enjoys exploring the fenced yard, but does well on a leash as well. He does have bumps on his chest that were deemed fatty lumps, so we do try to avoid holding onto that area when we pick him up. Thats right- no issues with being picked up, having his nails cut, or taking a bath. This sweetie has kisses to offer! He is dog friendly but has been grumbled at a few times upon running into another dog- so he will occasionally grumble if one approaches him. Paul has no trouble finding the water dish, or a cozy bed. While Paul will go potty when outside, he is rocking a belly band as he will have some accidents in the house. This does also occur with  #2s  at times. Its important to head outdoors when he wakes up, or exits his kennel. He needs help getting into the kennel, but is happy to relax once inside. Paul has only ever let out three individual barks while in our care, but will let out adorable exaggerated yawns. Paul is an incredibly loving guy who deserves the world!  Www.ourpackanimalrescue.com  Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Is an all foster based rescue.
