Story
Meet our sweet boy, Banner! He is a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix who weighs a healthy 15 pounds. This boy is full of life and happiness! He loves being around people and other dogs. Banner has been treated for heartworms and has recovered wonderfully. Wearing a short white coat which he loves to have stroked, Banner enjoys going for walks or running around in the yard. This boy would make a great family addition, and he will be sure to fill your days with love and attention! (Due to his small size, children in the home should be older than ten years or have experience handling small dogs.) Story
This sweetie pie is Ella! She's a Chiweenie weighing between 20 and 22 pounds, and because she's mature at about 3 years old, she probably won't grow any bigger. She's good with other dogs, older children (due to her small size), and her foster's cat. Ella wears a short, black, shiny coat, and her eyes are soulful. In fact, if you look deeply into them, you'll see that all she wants in life is to go home with you, to be loved by you. How about it? Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/14072 **$100 off of adoption fee in December!Meet Scrappy, a sweet boy whose love of lounging is matched by his love of exploring the outdoors on a nice walk. Name: ScrappyGender: MaleBreed: Chihuahua Mixed BreedAge: 4 years old, estimated DOB: Sept. 4, 2020Weight: 14 lbsCurrent Location: Baltimore, MDPersonality: Scrappy is a gentle and quiet boy who appreciates patience and encouragement as he is learning to come out of his shell in his foster home. So far, he hasn't shown a desire to play with toys, and is happy to just settle down for some rest and relaxation.Special Considerations: Scrappy would thrive in a calmer home environment where he can build his confidence and trust at his own pace. He does not require much play. While his foster mom hasn't seen him around cats, the SC shelter said he lived in an office with a cat. He's a quiet boy, making him a great fit for an apartment, rowhome, or other close-living environments.Companionship: Scrappy is a little shadow who likes to follow people around, but he prefers being pet on his own terms and can be a bit nervous if someone pets him before he is ready. Once he is comfortable, though, he will nudge your hand to get more scratches. He is well-behaved around other dogs.Training and Learning: Scrappy loves being outside on walks and has very good leash manners. He politely passes other people and dogs while taking walks. Scrappy is potty trained and crate trained. Scrappy will sleep quietly in his crate and during the work day and overnight, and he sometimes enters his crate on his own, just to hang out in there for a while. His foster mom doesn’t think he has seen indoor stairs before so he is still learning how to navigate them. He is working on basic commands such as "sit." He has good house manners and does not jump much, but might show some interest in delicious-smelling human food. Love and Affection: Scrappy enjoys snuggling on the couch close to his humans and is also happy to survey the room from his own nearby rug or dog bed. He is a calm boy who is easy to please.Scrappy is looking for his forever home where a new family will cherish his sweet personality and companionship. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue.
