Meet Waldo, a nine year old Chihuahua mix. Waldo is a friendly guy who enjoys going for car rides and walks. He weighs in at around ten pounds love his booty rubs! Waldo was found running around and sadly no one has come looking for him. His finder had him a day but decided to bring him to us because he didn’t like their other dog and got protective over his spot on their lap, this is not uncommon with small dogs and can be corrected with some training and reminders. Since being with us Waldo has walked passed our outside cats without issue and may be fine in a home with feline companions. Waldo does have some old man teeth and would benefit from a dental and possible future dentals as he continues to age. He is a joy to be around and just a lot of fun, we can’t wait for him to find his home. This pet is available for adoption on 11/9/2024 at 11:05 AM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.A Picture says 1000 words...right? The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Meet Allissandira, a one year old Chihuahua mix.Allissandira was found running along Yakima Valley Highway with five other dogs/puppies. The finder managed to catch four of them and she was one of the lucky four. Allissandira is a cutie with an underbite, she weighs in at around six pounds but is on the skinny side and would benefit from a bit more weight. Allissandira is very sweet and easy to handle, even though she just came in we already love her!
