FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Lacey! Lacey is a 5-year-old, 13 lb Terrier/Chihuahua mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This little lady has a gentle soul and is looking for a calm, loving home where she can truly blossom. Lacey is very sweet and loving, but she can be a bit shy at first. She’ll need a patient adopter who can help her build confidence and give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. Once she starts to come out of her shell, Lacey is an easygoing, affectionate companion who wants to be close to her people. She would do best in a quieter home without young children, where her environment feels predictable and calm. Lacey would also love to have another dog in the home to help her feel more secure and show her the ropes. Lacey is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Meet Chico! I’m Chico, and if you have a ball… we’re already friends. Fetch? Absolutely! A quick game of soccer with a tiny dog ball? Count me in. Just want to roll a ball across the floor? I’m right there. Anything involving balls gets my full attention! Luckily, I’m under 12 pounds, so I don’t need a big yard to be happy. I’m perfectly content playing on the living room floor. After playtime, my favorite place to be is in your lap. I’m a cuddly little guy who loves being close to my person. I can be a bit possessive of my favorite human or special treasures, but my foster mom is actively working with me on this. I also have support from Saving Great Animals’ wonderful trainer, so I’m making great progress with guidance and consistency. Most of the day, I’m calm and relaxed. While my foster mom works from home, I’m happy lounging in my dog bed and chewing on a Lumabone. I’m potty trained, quiet during meetings, and learning good manners like sitting for treats and waiting patiently—though sometimes my excitement gets the best of me, and I jump impressively high to try to get that treat first! I currently live with a resident cat and big dog foster siblings, and I’m warming up nicely to the cat. I’ve started greeting her with a wagging tail, even though she still makes me a little nervous. In the meantime, she’s helping teach me proper feline respect. I’d make an excellent movie&#226&#128&#145night buddy or travel companion—just expect me to be in your lap for pretty much any activity. If you’re looking for a small, playful, affectionate dog who’s happy both playing and relaxing, I might be your perfect match. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Modesto, CA and arrived with us on March 8th. Foster Profile: Rooster is a very sweet, calm little guy ready to burrow under the blanket. He loves dogs and people, including little ones. Rooster would do best with another dog in the house; he can play with or with someone willing to put together doggy playdates. He is house-trained, crate-trained, very gentle, and loves tug-o-war. He is still working on sit and come, but learning quickly!
