Story
I had a difficult start to life and was rescued from an animal cruelty and hoarding situation. Because of this, the world can feel unpredictable and scary to me. Shelter life was extremely stressful, and while my current family has worked hard to support me, their busy household has proven to be more than I can manage. I can be wary of unfamiliar people and situations and may bark or react when I feel unsafe. A calm home with limited visitors and a predictable routine helps me feel secure and allows my affectionate, playful side to come forward. I form strong attachments and am deeply loyal to my chosen person. I enjoy being nearby throughout the day. I am a very smart dog, and structure and positive reinforcement makes me feel good. I already know so many tricks and I’d love for you to teach me more! You don’t have to take me to the park to play fetch with me - I love to play indoors. My favorite thing is food! I love to work for it.

Story
Meet Savannah! She is a 7-year-old Chihuahua and Spaniel mix weighing 18 lbs. She's initially shy with new people but loves to be with people once she gets to know them. We are looking for an adult only home or one with children ages 10 or older. She is loyal and bonds deeply. She is active and will need another dog in the home for company. She is super intelligent and likes to be the boss. Savannah loves to run and be in the sun and thus would need to have a fenced yard. She craves structure and will need strong leadership to make her be her best. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots. Her fee is $500.

Story
IMMEDIATE FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Spock! He is a 2-year-old, 12 LB Chihuahua who came to us as an owner surrender after his owner could no longer care for him and his other doggy housemates. Spock is a very shy, skittish boy who is going to need a patient adopter who can provide him with a loving and peaceful environment, so that he can learn to trust and open up. His previous owner did not do a great job at socializing him, so he does have a ways to go in gaining the confidence he needs to take on the world and learn all the wonderful things that life has to offer. Spock has done great with other dogs and actually came from a home where he lived with quite a few and needs another confident dog in his forever home to help show him the ropes and help build his confidence. We are looking for a quiet and calm adult only home. He is skittish and shy and would do best in a quiet residential neighborhood. No city life for him as he can be a flight risk. Spock would love to find a forever home soon that will help him out of his shell to become his best most confident dog! Spock is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Who out there loves a shy guy? Well, meet Blackie! He is a two-year-old, 12 LB Chihuahua who came to us as an owner surrender after his owner could no longer care for him and his other doggy housemates. Blackie is a very sweet boy who is going to need a patient adopter who can provide him with a loving and peaceful environment, so that he can learn to trust and open up. His previous owner did not do a great job at socializing him, so he does have a ways to go in gaining the confidence he needs to take on the world and learn all the wonderful things that life has to offer. Blackie has done great with other dogs and actually came from a home where he lived with quite a few, and would love a forever home that has another confident dog in it to help show him the ropes and help build his confidence. We are looking for a quiet and calm home, with no young children. He has lived with cats before as well and did not seem to have an issue with them. Blackie would love to find a forever home soon that will help him out of his shell to become his best most confident dog! He really is a loving little guy and will be quite the loyal and affectionate companion. Blackie is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Chessy! Chessy is a 9-month-old, 15 lb mixed breed pup — possibly a Chihuahua/Whippet/Heeler (maybe even a little Kelpie!) — and she’s as fun and adorable as they come! She’s currently thriving in foster care, where she’s doing great with her foster dog siblings and continuing to build her social skills. Chessy loves to play, romp, and wrestle, and she can be a bit of a rough-and-tumble player, so she would do best with another confident, playful dog who enjoys an active play style. Having a canine sibling in the home would be ideal to help keep her well-socialized and give her a built-in playmate. She loves going on walks and car rides, is house trained, sleeps great in her crate at night, and is very cuddly — she’s happiest being close to her people. Chessy is also learning to share attention, toys, and space with other dogs and is making great progress as she continues to mature. Chessy will stay a great, manageable size and is an excellent fit for an active home ready to keep up with a young dog’s energy and ongoing training. One of Chessy’s eyes is slightly smaller than the other due to a congenital condition, but it causes no visual impairment and doesn’t slow her down one bit — it just adds to her unique charm! Chessy is a happy, affectionate, playful pup who will thrive in a home ready to give her structure, social outlets, and plenty of love! She is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped , and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Meet Victor 🌶️🐾 Victor is a 3-year-old, 7.5-lb Chihuahua with a big personality packed into a tiny body. This sweet but spicy boy loves going on walks and truly enjoys spending quality time with his people. He’s smart, treat-motivated, and eager to engage, which makes him a fun little companion. Victor can do well with other dogs, but he likes to make his opinions known and can be a bit bossy and vocal at times. Because of this, he would thrive in a standalone home outside of the city, where he has a bit more space and fewer shared walls—not an apartment or condo. If you’re looking for a loyal, entertaining sidekick with lots of character and love to give, Victor is ready to spice up your life ❤️🐶 Victor is neutered, UTD on shots, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.
