Story
Meet George: A Sweet Soul Seeking a Forever HomeGeorge is a unique and lovable Chihuahua mix with a heart of gold. This special boy has a partial jaw (half a jaw), which adds to his charm and makes him even more endearing. While this might seem like a big deal, it doesn`t stop George from enjoying life!George is a timid but friendly soul. He takes a little time to warm up to new people and situations, but once he does, his sweet and gentle nature shines through. He`s looking for a patient and understanding owner who will give him the time and space he needs to feel comfortable.Unfortunately, George has had a difficult past. He`s been in and out of shelters and even experienced a failed adoption. This has understandably made him a bit apprehensive, especially when it comes to kennels, which can be quite scary for him. What George Needs:Patience and Understanding: George needs a calm and quiet home with owners who understand his timid nature and are willing to give him the time he needs to adjust.A Secure and Loving Environment: He thrives in a stable and loving environment where he feels safe and secure.A Kennel-Free Home: Due to his past experiences, a home without kennels or excessive confinement would be ideal.A Gentle Approach: Gentle handling and positive reinforcement will help George build trust and confidence. What George Offers:Unconditional Love: Once he bonds with you, George will be a loyal and devoted companion.Unique Charm: His partial jaw gives him a distinctive look that is sure to melt your heart.A Second Chance at Happiness: By adopting George, you`ll be giving him the loving forever home he truly deserves. If you`re looking for a special companion and have the patience and love to offer George, please inquire for more details. He`s waiting for his perfect match!

Story
Squish is a sweet boy that loves his sister, Anna. He is potty trained and ready for his next home. He walks well on the leash. He and Anna would do best in a small child free home. He is very protective of Anna and will take on other dogs to be sure she is safe. He is described as nervous and shy, but we have seen that he is quick to warm up and easy to handle one he trusts that he is safe. He has been around cats and done fine.

Story
Anna is a shy girl that looks to her brother, Squish for comfort and would love to be adopted with him. She is potty trained, walks well on leash and is compatible with cats and older children. She is described as a nervous dog that is shy and so far we would agree with that description. She is crate trained. Once she gets used to a person, she is friendly and easy. She could use some basic obedience training to build her confidence. She enjoys walks, playing fetch and playing in the water.

This vocal Chi is looking for a home that will allow her to shine. She should be the only dog in the home, for her comfort. She has been in a home with other like minded dogs, but she is ready for an adult only home now. She is potty trained but must be monitored on her walks to assure she has `done her business.` She can be opinionated about who she allows in her inner circle, but with patience and good treats, you can win her heart.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Peach is as sweet as can be. She is approximately 6 months old. She came from Moses Lake and lived under a house with 12 other chihuahua's. She gets along with other dogs, loves playing with her toys and will not bother a cat. She is housebroken to a doggy dog, so should not be to much of a issue getting her to go to the dog. She loves to cuddle and is content to sleep in her bed next to my bed, until I fall asleep and then when I wake up in the morning, she is all cuddled in with me.. Silly girl! Like most chihuahua's it's going to take her a minute to warm up to her new family, but I have no doubt it won't take her long. She has not been around children. But with a little time she should be okay Adoption Applications can be found at https://rocketrescue.org/info/adoption Applications will be considered in the order they are received. Story
Meet Millie Marshmallow the Sweet Squishy Girl! She is currently 4 months old, and we think she may be a Chihuahua/Terrier mix with a splash of Lab, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Millie's video here: Millie is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play with her siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat - such is puppy life! Millie is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Story
Meet Olivia Lime! Olivia is about 4 years old, only 10 pounds. We think she's a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix but we aren't really sure, so we just call her our Texas Special! The very best breed. This Southern girl is brimming full of love and affection and waiting for that special someone to be the center of her world. Olivia is quite the stunner, with her classic chihuahua ears and expressive melting eyes that you won't be able to resist. Honestly, we have a hard time resisting her freckles too - you can see them on her chest, legs, and belly when this social butterfly rolls over to entreat you for chest and belly rubs! (It's worth it; we promise. Her legs splay out in pure delight and it's guaranteed to put a smile on your face.) But it's Olivia's gentle and loving personality that will absolutely seal the deal - this impressive tiny lady simply wants to be near you, either in your lap or cuddled next to you. We can easily see her in her very own soft and fluffy bed, relaxing by your side while you work or relax. She's thrilled with any attention and affection you have to offer, and will return it with lots of snuggles, kisses, and all her love. Email jodi@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option.
