Hi, I am Pily,Are you looking for a young gal who is calm, loving, and playful, then look no more, I am here. I can be a bit shy at first, but I am very friendly with people and other dogs. I live with cats but mostly I ignore them. I love to be close to my human boy and sleep on his bed. I am very affectionate and love to be petted.I am very calm for a young pup and I walk well on or off a leash. I am not a big fan of toys, but I do like car rides. I am very affectionate and love to be with my people. I am house trained too.The beach is fun, but I take my time going in the water. If it sounds like I would be a good addition to your family, fill in the adoption application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Pily To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Darling Kirby is now almost 4 mo old and he’s ready for his own, forever home. He currently weighs about 9lbs and he should be approx 14lbs when he’s full grown. Kirby is a gentle tempered boy that can be a bit insecure when he first meets new people. When he’s with a more confident little dog, he is quick to open up and become more trusting. So he must have another small, playful, confident dog in the home. Once he opens up, he is also a very silly, affectionate puppy. He would be a great addition to an easy going home with a couple school age kids. He gets along great with the kitties, too. He loves to run around the yard and explore, and he’s not yet fully potty trained so a fenced yard would be best. Because he’s still too young to be neutered, his surgery will be scheduled at the time of adoption.  Adoption fee is $450.  If you are interested in meeting little Kirby please email k9cabbie@gmail.com and include your phone number.December 11, 2024, 11:40 am

Story
Turbo Tobin is a very busy guy! He’s so excited about life that he just can’t get enough of being outside to explore and experience all life has to offer. He is a very outgoing, social, friendly boy that loves to go on adventures and meet new people. He also gets very excited when it’s time to meet new animals and hopefully find a new playmate. He thinks all dogs are here to be his friend. Tobin is barely over a year old and he weighs 11lbs. Even though he’s a small guy, he has long legs so he enjoys lots of walks and even hiking trips. He’s learning how to politely ride in the car, too, so he can be a companion on daily errands. Tobin would love to have another small, playful dog in the home to run and wrestle with, although it’s not required. He should at least have plenty of playdates. He is very smart so lots of training games to help with more manners will be needed. As long as he has regular potty breaks, he’s doing great with his crate training and needs just a little more help with house training. Because he’s such an active little guy, a fenced yard would be best. He would be a great family dog for school age children. If you are interested in meeting this cutie please email k9cabbie@gmail@com and include your phone number.December 12, 2024, 12:33 pm

Story
Meet Ivy! Ivy is a spunky, 8-pound, smooth coat Chihuahua that loves to play, but also loves to sleep next to you for a nice long nap after a play sessions (humans, dogs, toys) or a nice bully stick chew stint. She sleeps in her crate and can be alone while you run an errand or at night.  She is extremely easy to train and loves food whether it is her kibble (wet or dry) or treats/cookies.  She is easily trained and goes outside to potty. She is currently living with 7 foster (dog) siblings.  Her favorite activities are hanging out next to you on the couch or in bed, chewing a bone, and going for a walk.  She can be a bit intimidated by bicycles that appear with no warning and isn’t sure strollers and scooters should be legal, but she recovers immediately and is ready to continue on with her excursion. She would love another dog to play with in her new home. She plays consistently with a fellow 8 pound sibling, but engages the larger 15-18 pound siblings too.  She isn’t a Chihuahua that is scared of everything in the world!  She never met a treat she wouldn’t take from complete strangers.   Respectful dog savvy children that are a bit older would be best since she is very small.  She can dart quickly out from under feet when they unexpectedly come too close.    If you are looking for a companion to add to your world for the next 15 years, Ivy would make a perfect addition!  Please complete an application if you would like to know more information regarding Ivy. Ivy is vaccinated, chipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $395. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Bean! Tiny Bean has had a pretty tough start to his short life. He is only a few years old but these first few years of his life have been less than great for him. He was not treated kindly by his previous owners and showed signs of abuse as well as starvation. When he first arrived with us he was so terrified and did not want us anywhere near him. He has been in a loving foster home for the past month and is doing very well now.    In his foster home he has learned how lovely humans can be! Slowly but surely he's warming up and coming out of his shell. He is a super snuggler who really loves his person - much like most chihuahuas he attaches easily and loves hard.    Bean is good with dogs and cats and really needs another furry little sibling in his forever home. He also needs humans who will be patient with him and understand how much he's gone through. While he is friendly with kids, due to his teeny tiny body and previous trauma, to be safe it would be best for him to go to a child-free home.    Bean loves to be carried around everywhere but is learning that going for walks is fun! He's also doing very well with potty pad and crate training. We would love to see him with an experienced small dog owner, who can lovingly show him a happier life.   Bean is vaccinated, chipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $395. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Roxie! This sweet and shy girl has been through it. She came to us from an abandoned property where she was left behind when her owners moved. Neighbors told us that Roxie had been an outside dog all of her life, with little to no interaction from her owners. As a result, Roxie is a timid girl who is unsure around new people. It takes her a while to trust. Once she trusts you, she is a loving and affectionate girl. She is learning to walk on a leash - she has never had to learn being left outside all the time. She is also learning that being inside a home and being able to sleep on a couch and cuddle up with people is a wonderful thing.  Roxie will need a little patience when she moves to a new home. Another dog in the home will be best for her - there is no better guide for a shy dog than a confident dog friend. She is best in a home with older kids (over 10). Roxie will be vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
