Chanel is as iconic as her name. Not everyone is ready for this classy lady but, if you're looking for a loyal companion, or a timeless adornment for your lap Chanel might be the one. The ideal family for Chanel is one who won't leave her home stashed away. She would much prefer to be on your arm (like every fashionable accessory should be). She does well with other dogs and was said to have done well with cats in her previous home. In her foster home inside accidents are rare as long as the humans are mindful of the schedule. She loves all the human food and can not be bothered with measly pebbles when sandwich meat is available instead. Like any good chihuahua Chanel will show teeth and growl if she's not happy with a situation. This especially happens when she's startled from her right side where he eye has limited sight. Follow her lead, believe her when she gives notice and she'll be yours forever. Her favorite place to sleep is as close to your face as possible when she knows you're her safe place. If you think you're mindful and demure enough for this classy lady contact HSU to set up a meet & greet appointment & her foster family will happily show you all her unique one of a kind priceless traits!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet El Nina! This sweet little girl was found pregnant and was never claimed by anyone. We don’t know her history, but we’ve learned a lot about her in the past few months. This little girl just wants to be loved. She is very territorial and needs work being around people and other dogs who she doesn't count as her family. She needs a very good introduction to other dogs and will resource guard her people and space. She is looking for a home that will provide her with safety and security, but who will also teach her impulse control and will socialize her. She would likely be happiest as an only dog. A warm lap where she can be cuddled and loved is all she really wants. She is so sweet with her family members, but has a hard time with strangers, so a quiet home without many visitors would be great for her.   Apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 4:51 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there! I’m Princess Pixi, an adorable, 1.5-year-old female Chihuahua with the silkiest fur you’ll ever feel. Weighing in at just 10 pounds, I might be small, but I’ve got a big personality packed into my little frame! I’m a bit shy around new people, but once I warm up, I absolutely love my humans. I’m crate-trained and working hard on my potty training, too! I get along well with other dogs and kids, but I’d prefer a home with kids ages 12 and up. People often compare me to a squirrel because I love to zip around the yard like a little ball of energy! And I have a serious obsession with collecting things for my “den.” Yep, I’m a bit of a thief. Don’t be surprised if you find socks, pens, coasters, toys, straws, or even matchbooks tucked away in my crate—I’m not picky about my treasures! I’ll need a patient and understanding home that can help me come out of my shell. With some time and love, I’ll be your loyal, quirky companion. Can’t wait to meet you! If I sound like I could be your new furry companion please apply to adopt me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 18, 2024, 4:06 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! My name is Temor. That’s French for fear. I’m a bit of a scaredy cat. If you have met any chihuahuas before you know that’s pretty typical. When I warm up to people I’m a real gentleman! I love my people. I want to be with them all the time. I love sleeping and snuggling with them under cozy covers. I am great with other dogs, at least dogs my size. I haven’t been around any big ones. But I think if they’re gentle with me, we could be friends for sure. I get along with cats too! Sometimes I try playing with them but I’ve never managed to get them to play back. I love toys, chewing on bones, and sleeping. When I trust that everything is okay and I won’t get hurt, I’m basically a mellow guy who likes to chill 24/7. Like I said earlier, I can be a little shy. I’ve never ever been aggressive, but younger kids might scare me a bit. I’m looking for a house with no kids or older kids. I do go outside to potty, but my foster mom still puts a belly band on me. I like to make sure a place belongs to me, if you know what I mean. But she says I’m improving! Oh yeah, I’m a small guy, less than 10 pounds! I’m also about 2 years old. I think that’s about it. I’m a great guy who is looking for a loving and patient home! Please come and meet me! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Panther! Hi! My name is Panther. I’m an 8-year-old male chihuahua. Being an older gentleman, I’m a little set in my ways. I like food, the occasional walk/sprint in the backyard, and a nice cozy blanket. If someone is snuggled with me in the blanket, that is even better! I take a minute to feel comfortable with people, but once I warm up, I think I’m pretty easy. Older kids would be better for me since I can be a little jumpy. I’m really good with other dogs but I don’t love cats. I sleep in my crate at night like a champion and sometimes during the day when my foster parents are at work. I know how to use a doggy door, but my foster mom says I need a potty-training schedule so that I don’t have accidents.  Maybe she just doesn’t understand my cues yet. I blame her. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mummy is a 2 year old min pin (maybe?) mix. She is about 25 lbs and has the most beautiful brindle stripes that she has passed on to her four puppies, also with Rescue Rovers.  She is a gentle girl who is sweet and kind. She is good with other dogs and would love another furry friend to play with in the yard. Because of her habit of jumping up on people and counter surfing, small kids could get knocked over or robbed of their lunch. More pros and cons are below: Her pros: Mummy wants to please her person, and responds very well to verbal directions and corrections. She will generally follow commands such as “kennel up” and “stay”. She tries really hard to become pals with other dogs, and even gives them kisses and high fives to make friends. When loose in the house, she respects baby gate barricades and stays in the rooms allowed. She is crate trained and will stay quiet in her crate overnight. She will take treats very well from your hands. Anything food, she loves. She loves squeaky toys. She loves to go for walks and would love an active home. She loves to sleep on the couch with you, and will try to put her head in your lap for reassurance that she can stay there. Her cons: Any ‘cons’ seem to stem from an apparent lack of structure Mummy experienced in her original home, and it has been a joy to see her learn from more constant sources of food and basic house rules. For example, it appears she had to scavenge for food as a pregnant mom, based on her actively searching for any floor crumbs and counter surfing. You might think she’s always starving, but she’s just very food-motivated. She has gotten better about jumping up on your leg for attention, now that she knows she gets lots of loves. She will do her potty business outside, but her foster mom still recommends room containment (baby gates) and a fair amount of observation until she learns the schedule of her new home. She rarely barks, but when another dog barks next door, she joins in until corrected to stop.  Apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 16, 2024, 3:50 pm
