Story
Meet Tiny Tank! He is about 6 months old, not quite 9 pounds, and we think he may be a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Tiny Tank's video here: Tiny Tank is such a calm and relaxing little guy. He likes to play and enjoys soft stuffies and toys, but his favourite thing is to be held and snuggled (and we're happy to oblige). We're not sure if it's the chihuahua or the dachshund in him, but Tiny Tank has the ability to stretch and crane his neck in the most adorable head tilts. He's very curious to everything that is going on around him, but not enough to get up out of your lap, lol! This Tiny Tank is destined to be someone's loving Cuddle Champion Companion and we couldn't love that more. Tiny Tank is a sweet and gentle soul who is ready to fill YOUR tank with all the love and affection you can handle. We love his soft and shiny black coat and adorable black nose (that just begs to be boop-ed). But it's the soft white patch on his chest that is irresistible, and Tiny Tank will let you pet and scratch (and give belly rubs) whenever you want. This distinguished boy is currently in a loving and experienced foster home with several other dogs of all sizes and ages, and gets along with everyone he meets. He is sure to be your sweetest social butterfly wherever you go. Tiny Tank is living his best puppy life - all he needs right now is YOU! Tiny Tank is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/675af7aafecbc488ca093696 Please email Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
Meet Pookie Pearl Pipsqueak! She is almost 8 weeks old, only 3.5 pounds, and we think she may be a tiny Chihuahua mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Pearl's video here: Get ready for the most adorable Pookie Pearl Pipsqueak. This tiny princess is almost completely white, with a sweet little brown and pink nose. She may be tiny, but this sweet thing has so much personality! While she is more shy than her sister, it doesn't take long at all for Pearl to warm up. And once she's comfortable, get ready for all the bounces, pounces, and prances. It is so much fun to watch Pearl and her sister Luna play together - it is sure to put a smile on your face and warm your heart. Both sisters are currently in a loving foster home, where they are learning all the right puppy things. Both girls have just mastered climbing stairs, so their world is opening up quickly (and they love to run up the stairs and POUNCE on the bed). Both puppies live in a home with a cat, but have so far ignored the cat altogether, which we think is a great sign that they could live in a cat-friendly home. Pearl is all about the puppy play and discovering new things. This charismatic girl will keep you laughing at all of her puppy antics and her sheer determination to keep up. (She can run surprisingly fast for such tiny legs, lol.) Of course, Pearl loves to be held and cuddled, and always appreciates a soft and fluffy blanket or dog bed to snuggle up in (when she's not in your lap). Pearl is busy living her best puppy life - all this perky half-pint pup needs right now is YOU! Pearl is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Elf on the Shelf might be Santa’s watchful eye, but Firefly Elf is meant to share Santa’s love and warmth all year long. Elf is a 2-year-old male 8-pound Cairn terrier Chihuahua mix who loves his people and would make a great addition to any family. Elf is great with other dogs and people but would do better in a home with children over 8 only due to his size. He is kennel trained but loves sleeping on the bed or the couch just as much. Elf is also potty trained with a good schedule, walks well on leash, enjoys toys, treats and overall, all forms of spoiling. Firefly Elf is completely vaccinated including rabies, microchipped and neutered as well and excited to go to bring Christmas joy to his forever home today. If this festive boy is exactly what you have been looking for, please apply at  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 17, 2024, 2:51 pm
