Story
Ronny is such a sweet boy. He gets along well with other dogs. He is a high jumper and loves to play fetch! He barely barks unless he's asking for food. He has funny little whisper barks. He loves to be near you, and he will lay at your feet or beside you. His fur is super soft and he loves to follow you around and give kisses! He also sometimes walks on his back legs while begging. He has some anxiety and will lick her paws sometimes but he has gotten better. Definitely needs someone to be around him.

Story
Lucky will steal your heart with her cute little underbite and delightful patchwork of brown and white fur. This 2-year-old, 15-pound chihuahua mix is a delightful pup who will steal your heart with her quirky appearance and endearing expressions! Lucky has a heart of gold and a personality to match. She's friendly, affectionate, and always ready for a cuddle session. She has an innate ability to make you smile, whether it's through her goofy antics or her sweet, soulful eyes. Lucky is house trained and already knows basic commands and is eager to learn more, making her a joy to train. She does OK in a crate for short periods of time, but prefers to spend her time outside the kennel. Lucky gets along well with cats and has a gentle disposition, but she also has energy and loves to do zoomies with other playful dogs. She thrives in an environment where she can bask in the love of her humans and furry friends alike. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will brighten your days with her delightful personality, Lucky is the perfect match for you! Story
Hi! I’m Candy! Freshly arrived from New Mexico just in time to be your Valentine. I love to sleep in a doughnut bed, or a fluffy blankie next to you on the couch. I’m happy to follow you around the house, sit in the corner and wait for you to go to the next room, and hope for a pet along the way. It takes a bit for me to warm up to new places and things, so small children would be difficult to share space with. I share space well with my two medium size foster brothers, and learned the day’s routines easily through following their lead. When it comes to affection, I will squeeze into the prime petting position no matter who I have to crowd out. Between fight or flight, I choose the latter; so while we get used to each other, a leash is essential for walks and time outside if your yard is not enclosed. I’ve learned to give cats space, but their food bowls are another story (I can be quite stealthy and acrobatic if necessary). I have a “Clean Plate Club” membership. I’ve shown a bit of my playful and energetic side to the humans I live with, but the cat gets so grumpy I have yet to show the full extent of my enthusiasm. When I get a chance to live out of a cat’s disapproving gaze, who knows what heights I might climb to for your love. Will you be my Valentine and let me Candy-coat your life?Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Story
This long-legged beauty is Ellie! Ellie is a 1 year old Chihuahua mix who is just as sweet as can be. She is super shy at first, but when she gets to know you, she wants loves and pets and cuddles. Ellie's foster mom has not heard her bark and thinks she would be great in an apartment setting. Ellie is a playful gal with her foster fur siblings and loves to play with toys. She steers clear of the cat in her home as she doesn't know what to make of him. Ellie is crate trained and prefers to chill in it sometimes. She loves the 12 year old in her home and was smitten with her from the beginning when she was still nervous of the adults. She is still learning house training and is let outside often. Sweet, adorable and affectionate! Dogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal, applications may take up to 48 hours to complete. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Ellie's adoption fee is $200. Story
Lacy is a 12-year 9.3 pound eloquent and majestic long leg beauty Chihuahua mix, all white with a little tan on her ears. Lacy came to be a CAWS dog after she was abandoned in a shelter, so sad at this time of her life but she is safe now for the rest of her days. These majestic long legs make her weeble and wobble a bit or better known as ataxic in the rear limbs (an awkward gait, uncoordinated walking pattern that is characterized by an irregular foot placement and a wide base, which may have a tendency to fall). But it is this walk that makes her unique and precious, it is more of a dainty and expressive pace. She also has some back pain, just a frail little old lady but such a magnificent little old gal, unique as can be. She is totally house and crate trained, if you don’t get her out she looks at you and gives a whine to let you know it is time to be let out. She gets along with all the other dogs in her foster home, male and female, big and small. She is a little on the slender side so we are trying to put a pound or two on her. Lacy had a dental with 18 teeth extracted. The anesthesia was really hard on our little lady but she put on her big girl panties and astoundingly pulled through this ordeal like an awesome trooper! She had a couple wart type things between her eyes removed while she was under too. She does a loud yelp when she needs your attention or to let you know she must get back in the house. For this loud yelp Lacy has to go to a house with a yard and 2-legged people who work from home or can take her to work with them or retired so she is not alone. She does okay in a crate but we do not want her to live in a crate now at this time of her life. She does like to cuddle on the couch and sleep with her 2-legged people, but she is okay with a bed on the floor too some of the time. She gives the softest, gentlest kisses, so dang sweet. Due to her age she should go to a family with no kids or older. If you can give this superb little lady a safe and secure home with unconditional love for the rest of whatever time she may have left, please fill out an application for a meet and greet. Lacy could most surely have many many years ahead of her, and we believe with all our heart she has a very precious long life ahead of her, she oozes pure sweetness and joy. Lacy should have never ended up in a shelter but she crossed our path and so now will find her furever lasting home that she is so deserving of. She takes your breath away.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process.
