Story
Meet Fancy, a resilient 8-year-old rescue Chihuahua who, despite a rough start on the streets, has proven herself to be an incredible companion. After being found in neglected condition, Fancy cleaned up beautifully and revealed her sweet, affectionate personality. Now thriving in her foster home, she enjoys the comfort of a cozy doggie bed and spends her days relaxing, with her favorite toys close by for the occasional playful moment. She is tiny and all of 12 lb! Fancy is wonderfully well-behaved-she's not a chewer and can be trusted alone in the house without a crate. Her easygoing temperament and natural charm have made her popular with her foster siblings, and she's always up for a little playtime with her doggie friends. While Fancy is still mastering potty training, she's making progress and just needs a patient, loving hand to help her fully settle into a consistent routine. One of Fancy's favorite pastimes is snuggling on the couch, and she'd be the perfect cuddle buddy for cozy movie nights or relaxing weekends. Her gentle, affectionate nature shines through in everything she does, making her an ideal companion for anyone looking for a little extra love and loyalty. Fancy is ready to leave her past behind and find her forever home, where she can continue to blossom and be the cherished family member she deserves to be. If you're searching for a devoted, laid-back companion with a heart of gold, Fancy may be the perfect match! She is being fostered in a home in San Antonio, TX. She is available only in Texas.

Story
NAME: Blythe     BREED: Terrier cross (possibly with Chihuahua) AGE: 2 years  WEIGHT: 8 pounds   LIKES: Happily being all up in her people’s business, snuggly blankets, getting pets from her person, being silly with other small dogs.   DISLIKES: Uncertain and nervous in new situations, and around unfamiliar people. Strange noises startle her. Large puppies with no boundaries make her uncomfortable.   PERSONALITY TRAITS: Blythe is a Velcro-pup who can jump surprisingly high to get to her person. She also likes to be a little “birdie”, perching on chairs or couches to get closer to her person.   POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She goes outside on a regular schedule. Sometimes she will have a nervous piddle if she is picked up too fast.   CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Sleeps in a crate all night, no problems.   EXTRAS/MISC.: Blythe needs a family who is okay giving her space to settle in. She seems good with other small dogs and cats. Young children are not recommended. A meet and greet is a must for Blythe, as she seems to distrust certain people (perhaps people who remind her of her past?) and we're never quite sure who those people are going to be until you meet her. She will only blossom more with the right home dynamic and patient humans to offer her the security she craves and basic training that will build her confidence in time.    To further inquire about BLYTHE, submit an online application via our website.    https://wigglytails.org   Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how BLYTHE will mesh with your lifestyle.    Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.    Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family.     We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for BLYTHE, as well as her future family.   *Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, Oregon   ADOPTION APP: https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/   Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with information about the next steps and setting up a Meet and Greet. Story
Baby is about 2 yrs old and 8lbs. She is sweet, confident and a bundle of energy who thrives on being the center of attention. She loves to go on walks and explore the outdoors. She walks well on leash without many distractions. One of her cutest traits is her love of jumping. She might enjoy agility training in her future. She has little fear and, with the right training, would do well going to breweries or stores. She is people-oriented, and happiest when she can interact closely with her family/humans. Although small, she is big on snuggles and cuddles on the couch. She will cozy up under the blankets and turn the couch into her personal haven. She is potty trained, crate trained and has excellent recall. She is food motivated and eager to please, which makes training loads of fun. Baby is respectful of other dogs after slow introductions. Like many chihuahuas, she is as spunky as she is dominant. While she would be happy with a solo spotlight, she would do well sharing a home with another dog or cat if they respect her boundaries. Baby, like most other dogs, would benefit from a home with boundaries, structure and rules. She is a great, loving dog who will be an amazing companion for a wonderful family. All of our adult dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea treated. They all receive training to make the transition as successful as possible. If you're interested in a meet, you must fill out an application on our website www.wallflowersshine.com/application. We always post updates and many videos of our dogs on our IG page, the_wallflowers_shine_project, under “stories” and “highlights”. Thank you for your interest in one of our dogs.

Story
Hello, I`m Hank! I`m a nice senior gentleman who came to Heartland with my brother Buddy. We are best friends and need to go home together. We love to snuggle up together in bed. We are really sweet little guys who love snuggles, going on walks and spending time with you. On sunny days, I like to sunbath in the yard. I am also crate trained. I love to burrow in my blankets on a chilly day. I am an older man with lots of life experience, my vision isn`t the best and I also have some dental issues. I have been around other dogs and I don`t mind them at all. I also am ok with calm children once I get to know them. My brother and I are looking for a nice home to spend our golden years in. Please come to Heartland to meet me. I would like to meet your entire family including other dogs in the home. Feel free to ask staff if you have questions about my health.
