Story
Meet Fancy, a resilient 8-year-old rescue Chihuahua who, despite a rough start on the streets, has proven herself to be an incredible companion. After being found in neglected condition, Fancy cleaned up beautifully and revealed her sweet, affectionate personality. Now thriving in her foster home, she enjoys the comfort of a cozy doggie bed and spends her days relaxing, with her favorite toys close by for the occasional playful moment. She is tiny and all of 12 lb! Fancy is wonderfully well-behaved-she's not a chewer and can be trusted alone in the house without a crate. Her easygoing temperament and natural charm have made her popular with her foster siblings, and she's always up for a little playtime with her doggie friends. While Fancy is still mastering potty training, she's making progress and just needs a patient, loving hand to help her fully settle into a consistent routine. One of Fancy's favorite pastimes is snuggling on the couch, and she'd be the perfect cuddle buddy for cozy movie nights or relaxing weekends. Her gentle, affectionate nature shines through in everything she does, making her an ideal companion for anyone looking for a little extra love and loyalty. Fancy is ready to leave her past behind and find her forever home, where she can continue to blossom and be the cherished family member she deserves to be. If you're searching for a devoted, laid-back companion with a heart of gold, Fancy may be the perfect match! She is being fostered in a home in San Antonio, TX. She is available only in Texas.

Story
Need ro rehome my dog Honey permanently. She was in a foster home for awhile and I had to take her back, but she doesn't do well with my toddler. She's around 8 years old and has separation anxiety so she pretty much needs a home where someone can always be around. She's crate trained and loves to sleep in one, but I couldn't bring hers with us on the plane back to Oregon. She does well with older kids but is nippy with toddlers and young children. Unfortunately she's just not a good fit for our family and needs a family where she will fit in better and get the love she needs. Need her rehomed asap as l am in the middle of moving. Located in Eugene OR.

Story
NAME: Blythe     BREED: Terrier cross (possibly with Chihuahua) AGE: 2 years  WEIGHT: 8 pounds   LIKES: Happily being all up in her people’s business, snuggly blankets, getting pets from her person, being silly with other small dogs.   DISLIKES: Uncertain and nervous in new situations, and around unfamiliar people. Strange noises startle her. Large puppies with no boundaries make her uncomfortable.   PERSONALITY TRAITS: Blythe is a Velcro-pup who can jump surprisingly high to get to her person. She also likes to be a little “birdie”, perching on chairs or couches to get closer to her person.   POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She goes outside on a regular schedule. Sometimes she will have a nervous piddle if she is picked up too fast.   CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Sleeps in a crate all night, no problems.   EXTRAS/MISC.: Blythe needs a family who is okay giving her space to settle in. She seems good with other small dogs and cats. Young children are not recommended. A meet and greet is a must for Blythe, as she seems to distrust certain people (perhaps people who remind her of her past?) and we're never quite sure who those people are going to be until you meet her. She will only blossom more with the right home dynamic and patient humans to offer her the security she craves and basic training that will build her confidence in time.    To further inquire about BLYTHE, submit an online application via our website.    https://wigglytails.org   Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how BLYTHE will mesh with your lifestyle.    Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.    Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family.     We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for BLYTHE, as well as her future family.   *Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, Oregon   ADOPTION APP: https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/   Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with information about the next steps and setting up a Meet and Greet. Our process is not a “first come, first served” process. Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants to find the best fit for each adoptable dog and potential family. Filling out an application in no way guarantees you a dog or a response email as we get hundreds of applications and choose the best home for the dog. Distemper/Parvo boosters,  and rabies shot, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery are included with the adoption fee.  You will also receive a PetSmart puppy packet with hundreds of dollars of savings, a FREE bag of food, 30 minute private training session with a certified dog trainer, and a free checkup at Banfield.  Potential adopters must live within 30 miles of Eugene, Oregon. If you live outside the 30 mile radius, still send us an email, as we will can make exceptions if the circumstances are optimal for the dog or puppy. ##2137272##

Story
Meet Elvis! Elvis was surrendered to us along with his brother Bear. They are from the same breeder but do not share the same parents. Due to some medical issues Elvis and Bear's owner was no longer able to care for them. Elvis and Bear both visted the vet recently and besides needing to lose weight they received a clean bill of health. Elvis is 11 pounds but should weigh closer to 9 pounds. These boys have been through a lot, even living in a tent with their owner. We would love to find them a forever home together if possible. Both boys get along with other dogs and cats, they walk well on leash and are working on potty training as this is something that was never done with them. We think they would prefer a calmer household with older kids 13+. Elvis is more sensitive and submissive than his brother Bear and might need just a minute to warm up to some people and new environments. These boys are as cute as can be and are going to make great companions. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! If you would like to be considered as Bear and Elvis's forever home, be sure to submit an adoption application on our website!
